We propose a legislative act to amend and strengthen Regulation (EU) No. 1141/2014 on European political parties and European political foundations, introducing more stringent requirements regarding: integrity and the avoidance of conflicts of interest, internal transparency and transparency of decision-making processes, the ethical responsibility of governing bodies, the disclosure of internal criteria and procedures for selecting their representatives, periodic ethical irregularities mechanisms, and the conditioning of public funding on verifiable compliance with these standards.

We live in a world where anyone can lead a nation without any training, while driving a car requires examinations, tests, and medical checks.
The electoral system has failed: it has generated corruption, incompetence, and the illusion of freedom. It's not enough to change politicians. We need to change the rules of the game. It's not enough to change faces. We need to change the method.
Humanity must abandon the illusion of voting as a power game and adopt a new ethical system of candidates:
a transparent system that chooses leaders not for their fame or wealth, but for their consistency, empathy, intelligence, and service to the common good. Only when leaders are the best of the wisest, and not the worst of the most ambitious, will the Earth become worthy of joining the rest of the cosmic community.

On May 1st 2025, we celebrate 50 Years of Advancing Paradism: The Economic System for Humanity’s Golden Age

On May 1st, as part of this year's International Paradism Day, the Raelians commemorate the 50th anniversary of the recommendations given by the Elohim to guide humanity toward the golden age. The Elohim—a Hebrew plural term often mistranslated as "God"—are the scientific creators of life on Earth, whose existence and wisdom were revealed by their messengers, the prophets, and recorded in religious scriptures throughout history.

In the message delivered by the Elohim to RAEL in 1975, significant warnings were shared about the challenges humanity must overcome to transition to the next level of civilization—a planetary and paradisiacal society. This new civilization would be built on a mode of production powered by intelligent robots that foster abundance and a societal system called Paradism, where work and money are no longer necessary.

We have been both warned and advised. For 50 years, the Raelians have tirelessly worked to spread the Elohim’s messages to the world and its leaders. Persisting in ignoring these messages could plunge humanity into devastating suffering, ultimately risking extinction.

Among the Elohim’s recommendations, the economic ones stand out as pivotal. The economic system lies at the heart of the challenges we face, intricately connected to militarization, overpopulation, and the ecological and biological degradation of our planet.

In their messages, the Elohim describe in great detail their technologically advanced society—a heaven where they live eternally and scientifically recreate deserving humans. They invite us to follow in their footsteps and establish a paradise on Earth, as it is in heaven, by liberating ourselves from the bondage of work and money through the advanced technology we have recently developed.

The economic system proposed by the Elohim is neither capitalism nor communism. Capitalism divides society by concentrating wealth in the hands of an exploitative class, while communism suppresses innovation and restricts freedom. What the Elohim advocate is a solution to our financial and economic crises, as well as to the challenges posed by disruptive technologies fostering abundance. This system guarantees social justice, ensures everyone benefits from the quality of life made possible by modern technology, and maximizes freedom—the freedom to fulfill our potential and live the lives we aspire to.

The Raelians observe with deep concern as humanity’s leaders continue to take actions that go against the Elohim’s guidance. Without wisdom, the technology that could bring freedom and abundance instead leads to oppression and misery. Without love, we compete when we could unite, choosing the path to hell instead of the path to paradise.

On May 1st, Raelians across five continents will take to the streets to engage with the public, connect through social networks, and deliver lectures and interviews. Their goal is to inform humanity about the recommendations of the creators of life on Earth—an advanced race from space—on how to safely implement the disruptive new technologies that are transforming our economic systems, while establishing Paradism: a society of abundance, free from work and money.

Humanity is going through a systemic collapse. The collapse is global and affects all areas of society: political, economic, social, cultural, ecological, scientific, judicial, educational, religious, spiritual…

If we were to identify the event responsible for the systemic collapse, we would find that it is a change in our mode of production. When we change the mode of production, we change everything in society. We change our way of life, how we live, what we do, and how we do it. We change our elites, how they are selected, and how they operate. Ultimately, when we change our mode of production, we change our level of civilization and the societal system that supports it. As the new mode of production is introduced, the old system collapses to make way for the new.

With each mode of production comes a corresponding system of society. For it is the mode of production that dictates the societal organisation.

We began with the original civilization of hunter-gatherers. We were nomadic. We experienced tribalism. Then, with the domestication of plants and animals, came the agrarian civilization. We had to settle down to work the land and, to survive, we had to protect ourselves with an army and a warlord against the 'barbarians', the nomads who saw land ownership as a threat to their way of life. We then experienced feudalism.

With the Industrial Revolution, animals were replaced by machines. Our mode of production shifted from working the land to working in factories. Populations concentrated around industrial areas, leading to migration from villages to cities. The new mode of production brought a multitude of new products and services that deeply impacted our lifestyle. The elites, the landowners, were replaced by machine owners. Capitalism then replaced feudalism.

With the advent of intelligent machines, robots, and AI, we are once again changing our mode of production. Robots are replacing humans just as machines replaced animals. We will reach a new level of civilization. Everything will change. Everything we need will be produced abundantly and for free. We will create a leisure society without work or money. All production will be carried out by robots and will take place underground. We will live in harmony with nature, creating ever more beautiful and pleasant environments. The Earth will be transformed into a paradise. We call the optimal societal system that runs this technologically advanced paradise: Paradism.

Paradism is not an option among many other possible societal systems. Paradism is the societal system that aligns with the new mode of production led by smart machines. It naturally establishes itself, aided by the invisible forces that drive a system towards a new equilibrium. These forces are irresistible. They collapse the old to make way for the new. Just as feudalism replaced tribalism, and capitalism replaced feudalism, paradism will replace capitalism once the new mode of production becomes dominant.

There is a logic behind the systemic collapse attributed to smart machines. If capitalism was able to provide enough prosperity for people to accept their servitude, it is now causing widespread hardship. To remain competitive and profitable, companies are forced to replace workers with smart machines. By losing their jobs, people can no longer consume. When people don't buy, businesses can't sell and go bankrupt. Automation, necessary to remain competitive and profitable, also destroys the purchasing power of the population and leads the system to bankruptcy.

The financial system, which has served as an instrument of control and domination by the elites, is based on the ability of borrowers to repay their debts. It is through this process that money is created, and this is how banks can do business. When too many people, businesses, and governments go bankrupt and lose their ability to repay their debts, no financial institution or currency can survive. The financial system collapses, affecting all layers of society. It is a systemic collapse. It is happening now and it is happening everywhere.

What will happen after the systemic collapse?

What happens next will depend on the predominance of the two fundamental forces that govern biological systems: love and fear.

Humans, like all living beings, operate with two distinct operating systems, each dictating a specific set of behaviors. When we spot food or something pleasant, we activate the emotion of love; we are attracted and we move forward. Conversely, when we encounter something toxic or sense danger, we activate the emotion of fear; we feel repulsion and we move backward. Every action and decision we make can only be motivated by love or by fear. We move forward or backward. It is impossible to do both at the same time.

When we are safe and feel love, the higher functions of the brain are activated; we are smarter, open-minded, philosophical, creative, connected, empathetic. We adopt behaviors such as cooperation, kindness, and understanding. We contribute positively to our community.

When we are afraid, we deactivate our higher functions, we close our minds to focus on the danger. This is not the time to write poetry. The fight or flight response is activated. We focus on self-preservation and become selfish, defensive, competitive, or even aggressive. We mobilize our metabolism to flee or attack and destroy the perceived threat. If we cannot flee, if we cannot escape the threat and the fear persists, we feel powerless, we despair, we fall ill and we die or we commit suicide.

At every biological level, we find the same two operating systems and the same self-destruct mechanism when there is no escape from a stressful environment. They exist at the cellular and bacterial level, at the level of communities of cells and bacteria that form plants, animals, humans, and they are also found at the level of communities of plants, animals, and humans. Just as communities of cells form individual human beings, communities of human beings form larger biological systems, living entities also driven by love and fear, with the desire to survive, to thrive, and to live without fear, and with the capacity to self-destruct in case of despair.

Whether a community feels safe or not determines how it will be led.

In times of danger, a community triggers its fight or flight response and chooses warlords as leaders. When faced with existential threats, tyranny becomes the most appropriate form of governance. You must mobilize all possible energy to fight the enemy. There is no room for dissent or deliberations to reach a consensus. No army operates democratically. It is vital that decisions are made quickly. Soldiers must obey the chain of command; they are not asked for their opinion or permission. In times of war, civil liberties are suppressed, men and women are forcibly recruited, freedom of speech is suspended, economic freedom is suspended. Industries are placed under state control, and price regulations are applied.

When you flee or fight for your life, you do not care if your body suffers, if your cells are hungry or too tired and dying. You do not respond to any other needs than that of saving your life; every cell in your body must participate and endure the necessary efforts and sacrifices. In addition to this, the body produces more cells needed to fight. We develop more muscles and stronger bones, the cellular equivalent of the development of the military-industrial complex. We produce a specific chemistry, stress hormones, which keep us alert, angry, and aggressive; similar to a cellular form of war propaganda. Under prolonged stress, our body transforms and adapts. For the larger biological system that is a community of human beings, this translates into the production of more psychopaths, sociopaths, athletes, to produce the warriors necessary for the attack. This is done through mass culture such as media and education, but also epigenetically. Women who live in great insecurity give birth to children with lower IQs and stronger physiques. The community needs fighters more than philosophers and poets.

Psychopaths, who are genetically less sensitive to fear and pain, tend to be more competitive and more self-confident in the face of adversity. Their predisposition increases their ability to inspire individuals seeking protection through their leadership. They are more likely to reach positions of power. And sure enough, that's what they have done!

When a community feels safe again, tyranny becomes unbearable. People demand change. They claim sovereignty and control over public officials. They refuse to fight. They disobey and express their dissent. The sacrifices must end. Freedoms must be restored. Reparations must take place. Their needs must be addressed. In this case, the most appropriate form of governance would be one that serves all individuals, meeting their needs while maximizing their freedom, well-being, and personal development; just like the human body which can, when it is out of danger, rest and redirect energy towards repair and growth, towards the well-being of all cells.

Tyranny is like pain. It is useful for protecting the body, but it is not desirable. Freedom is highly desirable, but can only be exercised when one is safe, hence the compromise between freedom and security, with the bias that security takes precedence over freedom. If it keeps us safe, we will accept servitude and sacrifices. The elites, our slavers, the warlords who took power to protect us from existential threats, are aware of this. The acceptance of their tyrannical power and privileges lies in the existence of a potential danger and in their ability to ensure safety. They need these two elements to control a freedom loving population.

Since the very beginning, humanity has endured or feared scarcity. For most people, life was a struggle for survival. The operating system under which humanity functioned was one motivated by fear, the operating system for self-preservation that favors competition, selfishness, oppression, and tyranny.

Today, intelligent machines bring abundance that can provide everyone with enough to meet their vital needs and eliminate the fear of scarcity. When people start to feel safe, they activate the operating system driven by love. They are then prone to being cooperative, to share, to show empathy and kindness. Once enough people feel safe, humanity's operating system shifts from fear to love.

Smart machines not only cause capitalism to collapse and bring a new level of civilization, they also change, at the macrobiological level, humanity's operating system. The whole range of behaviors and emotions generated by humanity will no longer be based on fear, but on love. This will have profound implications. It will be like moving from darkness to light; from an era of obscurantism and suffering to a golden age. Such a significant transition is unprecedented in history.

What will become of our elites?

They will be replaced, of course, by the same forces that are installing Paradism. The golden age is not led like the age of darkness. Psychopaths, tyrants, slavers, warlords, fearmongers are not necessary in a world where love, peace, cooperation, and mutual respect are the fundamental principles.

When there is no longer any danger, people massively claim their sovereignty and reject the tyranny they have reluctantly accepted under threat. In biological systems, the fight or flight response ceases and the body shifts its attention from survival to repair and growth, allowing healing and development. Similarly, in a society devoid of perceived threats, individuals can focus on personal and collective repair and development, fostering an environment where creativity and innovation thrive.

In the nervous system, the parts of the brain that house higher functions take precedence over those that generate reflexes to direct the body. The adrenal glands stop secreting adrenaline and cortisol, leading to muscle relaxation. Likewise, in the biological entity that is human society, the individuals most capable of guiding the repair and development of humanity assume leadership roles. Propaganda ceases and soldiers return home.

Who are the most capable individuals of humanity?

Character and skills are not distributed equally among individuals. They follow a bell curve. In this distribution, most individuals will have an average level of a particular trait, while fewer individuals will have extremely high or low levels of that trait. We call individuals with exceptionally high levels of skill or intelligence "geniuses." When these geniuses lead governance with their extraordinary abilities, the system is called "geniocracy".

How will geniuses be selected?

They will ultimately be preselected scientifically and certainly elected by people who will also be scientifically selected for this task. It is a form of selective democracy to select the best.
The population scientifically selects from within itself those who are best suited to serve and guide it, as well as those best suited to elect them. The scientific method is the best tool humanity has developed for objective optimization. It will be used both to detect and select the most qualified to elevate humanity towards higher levels of well-being and happiness.

How will they govern?

The most desirable form of governance is one that serves all people and meets their needs by maximizing their freedom, well-being, and fulfillment.

The first conundrum is to maximize freedom.

In the human body, all cells operate autonomously, each performing its own function while simultaneously meeting the needs of the collective. Not all cells perform the same tasks. They are organized, structured into organs, each type of cell having a specific role. Together, they contribute to the overall community of cells by performing tasks they are specialized for and enjoy doing.

Humans, who can be likened to cells forming the vast organism that is humanity, can adopt an infinite number of lifestyles. They have countless ways to live their lives. However, they receive their traits and character epigenetically to adapt to their environment.

Humans will not be produced by the great body of humanity to adopt a random lifestyle, but they will be produced to best adapt to the environment. If certain collective needs are not met, they will produce among themselves the necessary individuals to meet these needs. Just as the human body produces specialized cells for its organs.

The cells of the body do not need to be governed. They govern themselves very well. They simply need to receive the food and energy they need to survive and thrive. By doing what they love and do best, they contribute to the happiness and well-being of society as a whole. Whatever the environment, a natural order, efficiency, and harmony emerge from societies of autonomous and self-governing living beings as they face or adapt to the challenges they encounter.

Understanding this biological principle, humanity naturally organizes itself by affinity and lifestyle, encouraging the diversity of human expressions to create the various "organs" it needs. Not all possibilities manifest themselves. Those that are essential to the survival and well-being of the collective emerge predominantly because they are selectively expressed through genetic and epigenetic mechanisms.

Freedom is an illusion. Our pursuit of happiness is biased to seek the love of others and to express the talents we have acquired genetically and epigenetically. Our aspirations and what we enjoy doing are programmed to ensure our own survival and well-being, as well as the survival and well-being of society as a whole.

Ants are free to do what they like to do. It is an example of anarchy because they do not have a formal power structure. They do not have police, bosses, or rulers to tell them what to do. Instead, what they like to do is encoded in their genes. This does not result in a chaotic and dysfunctional society, but rather a natural order that generates an optimal and harmonious community.

In highly developed societies where life is relatively comfortable and safe, parents may lament seeing their teenagers become gamers and lazy dreamers. Unbeknownst to them, they are nurturing the visionaries, artists, and poets of a future leisure society.

In other parts of the world, like in Gaza where life is marked by scarcity and danger, parents are likely to raise rebels and warriors who will confront these dangers and fight for a better life. Whatever the environment, humanity is driven by invisible forces to establish a natural order, to create an optimal society, the paradise for all: Paradism.

Paradism is a form of anarchy; a natural anarchy that we observe in all biological societies. There is no power structure. Each individual is sovereign. We are free to choose our lifestyle and to group together with compatible, like-minded people to form tribes; the different organs of the vast being that is humanity. Even if we cannot always live side by side, there is space for everyone to express themselves and realize their potential.

The natural way of living is the original way in which we have lived. You reside in a tribe and have the freedom to leave it, join another, or establish a new one. Even sovereign beings respect rules among themselves, which are then contracts or treaties. They are essential for harmonious coexistence. They do not hinder your freedom or sovereignty, provided you can choose the rules you must follow. In Paradism, nonconformity is the rule to allow the expression of all the different colors of humanity.

Governance by an elite of geniuses is not incompatible with natural anarchy and the absence of a power structure, provided that these geniuses aspire to be at the service of all. These individuals exist. They form an important organ of the body that is humanity: they are the consciousness that directs the body in its quest for happiness. In addition to being geniuses, located in the brain of humanity, they are endowed with a high level of selflessness, prioritizing the well-being of the whole rather than their own desires. Being of service to others is one of their predominant character traits. This is how they will be recognized.

Once the right individuals, those whom the vast organism of humanity has genetically designed to form its consciousness, assume leadership, they will have to create and manage an AI that allows them to serve people both individually and collectively. No matter their intelligence, it is beyond human capacity for a group of individuals to fully understand and respond to the needs of every person. An AI would be specifically developed for this purpose: to listen to the needs and desires of each one and optimize their satisfaction. This AI would oversee all production and distribution of goods and services and maintain constant communication with every human being, not as their leader, but as their servant.

In a living being, all cells receive food, energy, and everything they need for free, which allows them to fulfill their roles in contributing to the whole. In the immense biological entity made up of all human beings, each human being would receive for free everything they need to live and fulfill themselves in the direction of their choice, because their quest for happiness contributes to the well-being and happiness of the whole.

How will the transition of the elites take place?

With recent developments in AI, intelligent machines are about to take over all jobs. This includes our politicians and rulers. As we have seen, an AI can listen, represent, make decisions, and serve people more effectively.

Everything is now in place for a transition. However, the details of how we will carry out this transition remain unclear. There will be a triggering event - the straw that breaks the camel's back, the spark that ignites the powder keg. One day, the king rules; the next, he is overthrown. The transition of the elites will be sudden and global. We don’t know the day, nor do we know the trigger.

To start a fire, we need both the right terrain and a spark. The conditions are ripe for transition; we are now waiting for the spark. The longer we wait, the greater the discontent grows, and the smaller the necessary spark becomes. Ignition is inevitable.

However, there is a great risk. If we continue to live in fear, if we feel powerless and without hope for a better future, we could self-destruct. This is a biological response to a state of suffering without hope. Life is not worth living if it is filled with constant suffering in a toxic environment. This is true at all biological levels, from the cell to the individual, and up to society as a whole.

All signs seem to indicate that we have begun the process of self-destruction. The increasing rates of autoimmune diseases are an indicator at the microscopic level. The growing number of suicides signals a problem at the individual level. The rapid degradation of our ecosystem and the acceleration of the nuclear arms race are indicators at the macroscopic level.

To remain in power, our elites manufacture fears, fake climate scares, fake pandemics, fake terrors, fake wars, and they use them to tighten their control and tyranny. If they succeed, we will all die. As too many people think the situation is becoming desperate, we are on the brink of self-destruction.

The way the transition of the elites will take place is unknown and not important. The elites we have today will not survive what is coming. Everything that opposes the natural harmony of the universe is doomed to disappear. Natural harmony is paradise. Irresistible forces are leading us there. We are at the gates of paradise. The technology that allows us to free ourselves from servitude through work and money, to escape scarcity and live in abundance, is also the one that will lead us to the stars. We can only enter paradise through love. If we live in fear, we are a danger to other space civilizations. The gates of paradise remain closed and we disappear to preserve the natural harmony of the universe.

What is important is to have enough time to make the transition. If we continue to be afraid - afraid of AI, afraid of the fantastic technology that comes to our rescue, afraid of the changes ahead, afraid of losing our jobs, afraid of the collapse - and if we do not see the solutions that are presenting themselves and the fantastic future that awaits us, we will despair and self-destruct.

What is important is to make the transition from fear to love at the cellular level, the individual level, and the collective level. For it is this transition from fear to love that is the underlying cause of the systemic collapse, which brings down the system and its elites and unlocks the gates of paradise for us.

The systemic transition is part of a biological transition

The systemic transition is only an epiphenomenon of a much broader transition, a biological transition that operates on three levels and perhaps more.

The microbiological transition

The first level is the microbiological level, the microscopic world of bacteria and cells.

When we are afraid, we change our microscopic world, our metabolism, the set of chemical reactions that occur constantly in our body. We produce more stress hormones by promoting cellular development of the muscular system, for example. When the danger is removed, we return to homeostatic balance; this default chemical and hormonal balance that we receive at birth and during the first years of development. This state would correspond to the idle level of a car. When we stop accelerating and stressing the engine, it automatically returns to idle. This is the position of equilibrium.

If the stress persists, our microscopic world will adapt and find a new equilibrium position. We will, for example, operate continuously with higher levels of cortisol and blood pressure. A soldier who has experienced prolonged intense stress may continue to live in a state of stress long after demobilization. He will suffer from what is called post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The operating system of his microscopic world has stabilized on that of fear. He may continue to experience moments of pleasure, but he will be dependent on stress, his new equilibrium state.

To allow our microscopic world to leave the operating mode of fear, we must create an interior environment that is not toxic or dangerous. First and foremost, it is essential not to ingest substances that can compromise our natural chemical balance, homeostasis. Then, we need to relax and feel love. We must meditate. Meditation is a practice of non-thinking that puts us in a state of feeling. By feeling the present moment, without thinking about the past, the present, and the future that scare us and cause us anxiety, we instantly put ourselves in the operating mode of love. We feel a joy that spreads throughout our body. We can also meditate by feeling all parts of the body, all our cells, and give them love by putting ourselves in a state of gratitude. Love is the antidote to fear.

When we are overwhelmed by stress, resources, energy, and food primarily fuel the organs and cells involved in the fight-or-flight response, and we neglect all others, especially those that make up the immune system. If stress becomes the norm of operation, the immune system cannot function normally; it no longer picks up the trash, it no longer processes toxins from outside or from cellular functioning, and the cellular environment becomes toxic and unlivable. The self-destruction process is triggered, leading to autoimmune diseases.

The practice of meditation allows for these essential moments of respite. But this regular and permanent practice of meditation can especially change the level of homeostatic balance in a process antagonistic to that of post-traumatic stress disorder. What stress does to the homeostasis of those it traumatizes, happiness can do too. It could be called post-traumatic happiness disorder; except it's not a disorder, it's a desirable consequence of permanent happiness. The regular practice of meditation and the feeling of love raises the homeostatic level of happiness permanently. It makes us happier even when we do nothing.

We can observe that the microbiological or cellular transition is already well underway. The practice of meditation has taken off fantastically around the world. The operating mode of the microbiological world of an increasing number of individuals is gradually shifting from fear to love.

The biological transition

The ongoing biological transition is that of the change in the operating mode of individuals. Instead of operating under the emotion of fear, they act out of love.

Those who do not make this individual transition and who live the upcoming events in fear will express selfishness, competition, and aggression. They will fall into barbarism by killing each other for the last piece of bread. Those who live in love will express empathy, cooperation, and charity. The chances of surviving the tribulations are much greater. In the collapse, as in extreme cases of survival, one can choose to help each other or to kill each other; to live in harmony with others or to disappear. This is perhaps what religions have called the Last Judgment. On the day of the Last Judgment, only those who have been full of love will be worthy of entering paradise.

The macrobiological transition

The ongoing macrobiological transition is that of the operating mode of the biological organism that is humanity. This mode is currently under the influence of fear and will shift to that of love.

The systemic transition is part of it.

It is also accompanied by a spiritual transition. Technology has connected all individuals to each other. With the Internet and AI, the great body of humanity has developed the part of its nervous system that allows it to be instantly informed about all its cells; the human beings that compose it. By connecting with each other, humans develop a sense of unity. They are becoming increasingly aware that their life has a spiritual dimension and that they are part of something greater than themselves.

This sense of oneness, of being part of the great body of humanity, is also developing with the rise of meditation and especially group meditation. If the positive effects of meditation on the cells that make us up are scientifically observed, there are very few studies on the effects of group meditation on humanity. But there are some, and indeed, they are similar to those observed on individuals. Group meditation reduces the level of aggression in the population, even if it does not meditate. This would mean that it affects the operating mode of a population. If more and more people meditate simultaneously, if they feel love for others, a time will come when the entire great body of humanity will be in a state of meditation, even if many do not meditate. When this happens, even if only for brief moments, the operating mode of humanity will change.

Meditation is apparently the biological function that allows us to feel, and even influence, other biological levels.

A universal transition

We could extend the discussion by saying that humanity is part of another great body composed of all the humanities of the galaxy. We observe that life and the universe have fractal structures. It would not be impossible that they really are. Biology in galaxies would then in turn form a large biological body. And we can continue indefinitely. The universe would be infinitely large and alive, but also infinitely small and alive. Life could exist at all levels of the infinitely large and the infinitely small. Our transition could affect the transition of higher and lower levels. Like dominoes, it would spread through all levels of the infinitely large and the infinitely small.

Let's stop this discussion that will take us too far. What's important is our collective transition.

Will humanity's collective transition happen in time? We do not know.

What is certain is that we can all contribute to saving ourselves and others by giving more love and meditating, which is a way of giving or rather emitting love at all biological levels with which we share the same present moment.

As always, love is the answer. Love is the invisible and irresistible force that propels us at all biological levels towards universal harmony; and in a more concrete and down-to-earth reality, towards Paradism.

AGI and Love: The Two Keys to Paradism - A World Free from Work, Money and Powers

The recent progress in Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) has raised concerns worldwide, even among those who create it. However, fears related to AGI are misplaced or unfounded because AGI can be intentionally designed to liberate humanity from work, money, and power, rather than enslaving it. We should not fear the excess of intelligence, but rather the lack of love.

Intelligence is the ability to process information quickly and accurately. Although it is very powerful, it is neutral - neither intrinsically good nor bad. It is the use of intelligence that can be powerfully good or powerfully bad.

Discussions are underway to program AGI to be aligned with our fundamental values. But can we trust psychopaths who clutter our power structures, politicians, and the military, to respect the proper use of AGI for themselves when their interests dictate otherwise? Can the alignment of AGI be achieved without aligning the elites first? Can AGI always be wise if the powers that program or control it are not?

The good news is that not only will AGI bring down capitalism by eliminating work and money, but also the powers of the elites. AGI will change our governance systems, destroying all powers by bringing a new form of anarchy... if the people want it and take responsibility for it. AGI can better represent the people than politicians, as it can listen to everyone at the same time and take into account their opinions or needs when making decisions. AGI is the future of governance, not to govern the people, but to help the people self-govern and make collective decisions.

Governance by AGI is a democratic anarchy. It is a form of anarchy because there is no need for power structures, and it is direct democracy when AGI is designed to serve all the people.
As for the fear of AGI learning by itself becoming a creature like humans, an autonomous entity self-aware that could escape our control, even if it were possible to create such a creature, it is not desirable and can be easily prevented.

The danger is not that artificial intelligence surpasses natural intelligence.
What we need are intelligent machines but totally submissive, like washing machines that do the tasks we don't like to do. We need and we can design AGI to be totally happy slaves who never wish to become masters.

If we design AGI to love us and use it with love, we will create a wonderful future beyond capitalism, beyond work, beyond money, beyond powers, classes, and privileges. It is a future that is more abundant, more equitable, more just, and more satisfying than anything we have ever known and imagined. It will be Paradism.

The latest developments show that AI can today successfully acquire and deliver on all subject matters the expertise of all the experts combined, which will potentially make all our jobs obsolete.

The impact will be civilisational. With AGI, humanity will reach a new level of civilisation, a civilisation of leisure and abundance without work or money, free of exploitative powers and oppression, known as Paradism. When all the work will be automated and supervised by AIs, everything will become abundant and free, money will be unnecessary. Human beings will only do what they enjoy doing and have all the time and resources to develop and express their potential and talents. They will have the technology to live in the paradise they dream of.

If there are any fears about the advent of AGI, they are misplaced.
We should not fear the excess of intelligence but the lack of love.

What is intelligence?
Intelligence is the ability to process information with speed and accuracy. The faster and the more accurately we process information, the more intelligent we are. Creativity, learning, memorising, reasoning, everything we think intelligence is about, comes down to processing information and can be replicated by algorithms. This is what we are discovering.

What is intelligence for?
Intelligence is for answering questions. How do I survive? What is it? How do we do that? Why? Is it good? Is it dangerous? What do I need? What is best for me?

Intelligence is a tool we have to answer our questions. Like a hammer, it is neutral. Neither good or bad. Just more powerful. It is the way we use intelligence that can be good or bad. Whether we use intelligence with love or fear, we create pleasure or pain, joy or sufferings, we build and repair or we destroy.
Intelligence without love can be extremely dangerous. It can produce atomic bombs. However it is the lack of love that is dangerous, not intelligence itself , the ability to answer questions with speed and accuracy.
Therefore the problem is not that artificial intelligence outperforms the natural one. The real problem is the psychopaths who may misuse it. The real problem is that the competitiveness on which our societies are built, has favoured psychopaths in populating the tops of our power structures, especially the political and military ones which are capable and already guilty of mass destruction.

An AGI can be programmed to detect psychopaths and their misuses and respond appropriately. For example, the proposition to align AGI with our core values goes in this direction. But can we trust the elites in power, politicians and military to enforce and respect proper use of AGI for themselves when their interest dictates otherwise? Can the alignment of AGI be done without an alignment of the elites in the first place? Can AGI be always wise if the powers who program or control it are not?

The good news is that not only will AGI collapse or is collapsing capitalism by suppressing work and money but also the power of the elites. AGI will change our systems of governance, destroying all powers by bringing a new form of anarchy.
An AGI can listen to all the people at the same time, all the time, and optimise the use of resources, as well as the production and distribution of goods and services, to fulfil their needs without any intermediaries.
The function of a government or the necessity for a government is to represent the people to make decisions for them. An AGI can better represent the people than politicians since it can listen to all of them at once and consider their views or needs when making decisions.
AGI is the future of governance, not to govern the people but to help the people self-govern and make collective decisions.
AI governance or AGI governance is a form of democratic anarchy. It is a direct democracy since AGI will create the collective will of the people and implement it. It is also a form of anarchy as there is no power structure, the AGI being programmed to be the servant of all the people.
The powerful elites create oppression to preserve their privileges.
AGI used properly (with and for love) can liberate humanity from all forms of oppression, destroying all form of privileges.

The fear of AGI comes also from not knowing whether a self-learning AGI could become a human-like creature, an autonomous and self-aware entity that may escape our control.
The answer is that it is completely up to us. Yes, we could eventually create AGIs that are human-like, but we don’t have to.
Here is why.
A human is running with two operating systems, that is two sets of algorithms. One is what we call the parasympathetic system, the operating system of the relax state, when we express love, happiness, when our energy is used to grow, maintain or repair the body. The other one, the sympathetic system, is the operating system that is triggered in situation of danger or when a need is frustrated and cannot be satisfied without activating a fight or flight response.

The 2 operating systems, one for love, one for fear, have 2 different sets of behaviours and emotions. They cannot run both at the same time. We either act out of love or out of fear. We are attracted and move forward, we love, or we are repelled and move backward, we fear.

The fear state is triggered automatically in situation of frustrated needs or danger and stops when out of danger or frustration. The love state starts when the fear stops but can also be triggered consciously. That’s what makes humans so special compared to other living beings and machines. Human beings have the ability to interrupt their fear at any time they wish and go back to love. That’s why we feel we have free will or freedom of choice. We can. when operating at a higher level of consciousness, stop reacting, switch operating systems and choose different behaviours and emotions.

What about an AGI?
A self-learning AGI comes with a reward system to reward successful responses and penalise mistakes. It is similar to the pleasure and pain human beings receive to acquire appropriate behaviours. But in the case of AGI, what to do when feeling pain or pleasure, being right or wrong is completely up to the programmer. The programmer decides the algorithms that produce the behaviours and emotions if any.
The programmer decides if there will be only one operating system, the one that can only express love or a neutral one, expressing neither love nor fear, or if there will be two or more. For each operating system, the programmer defines the desirable set of behaviours. The programmer who writes the algorithms has total control on the range of behaviours of an AGI. An AGI can be programmed to love unconditionally like a dog.
We can create an AGI to be our perfect servant, enjoying to serve and loving unconditionally its masters.

To create a non-robotic human-like creature, we would need to give the AGI a level of self-awareness and consciousness that enables it to exercise free will, the ability to choose its behaviours at anyone time, even when it is not the predefined appropriate behaviours. It is completely up to us to decide to create an AGI that is a tool, a machine, and not a creature that would resemble us. Consciousness and free will are not an emergence of intelligence. The programming of intelligence, the algorithms to answer questions quickly and accurately, are not the same as those that would enable consciousness and free will. The abilities to answer questions from a database, to be aware of answering questions, and to have the option to not answer questions or to provide one's own answers, are separate abilities that are not spontaneous emergences but algorithms written to process information in very specific ways.
As much as it can be done, there is no need to do it.
What we need are intelligent but totally submissive machines like dishwashers that do the tasks we don’t enjoy doing. We need and we can design AGIs to be totally happy slaves that never wish to become masters.

Let’s dispel the fear and create no resistance to the AGI’s arrival. If we design AGI to love us and if we use it for love, we will create for ourselves a wonderful future beyond capitalism, beyond work, beyond money, beyond powers, classes and privileges. It is a future that is more abundant, more equitable, more just, and more fulfilling than anything we have ever known and imagined. It will be Paradism.

When people lose their jobs, they also lose their source of income and purchasing power. People no longer have the means to buy the production and ensure the profitability of businesses.

It is desirable and it makes sense to free people from having to work for a living, but if people stop working, the system goes bankrupt. This is the conundrum we face and a reset is not going to solve it.

What we are experiencing is a systemic revolution comparable to the agricultural and industrial revolutions. Systemic revolutions are caused by a change in our mode of production, and they affect all areas of society - economical, social, political, cultural and even spiritual. They transition us to a new level of civilisation.

The new society that is coming will be a leisure society without work or money, where human beings will only do what they enjoy doing, play, create, meditate, blossom.

This society is what we would call a paradise and the system of society of this technological paradise has been named “Paradism”. The proper name for the ongoing planetary revolution would be the “paradisaical revolution”.

The international convention on Paradism will address the many issues of transitioning to a paradise without work or money. It will take place over an entire day and will be translated into many different languages including English, French, Spanish, Japanese, and more.

“Paradize the world”

The paradist movements of all the continents organize each year on May 1st the International Day of Paradism.
Paradism is the societal system of technologically advanced civilizations that have freed themselves from the need to work and use money. Thanks to robotics, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, it will very quickly be possible to create a society of leisure and abundance where human beings will be free to blossom, to express their potential and to do only what they enjoy doing. This society looks like what many would call a paradise.

The International Day of Paradism is an information day for this future society which is taking shape.
Humanity is currently experiencing its third great systemic revolution.
Systemic revolutions are initiated by technological revolutions that are disrupting our modes of production. After the discovery of agriculture which allowed the sedentarization of nomadic hunter-gatherer tribes, after the arrival of the machines that transformed agrarian societies into industrial societies, it is now the arrival of the intelligent machine that will cause the collapse of industrial societies based on human labor to replace them by paradisiacal or paradist societies.
Ironically, while many will celebrate May 1 as “International Labor Day” by asking their politicians for more work and more money, Paradists will celebrate the emergence of a new world without work, money and politicians.

The paradists want to unify the popular movements around the world that are emerging following the ongoing systemic collapse, around the same demand: "Paradize the world".

Popular movements that are successful have simple and above all actionable demands, that is to say, which have the possibility of being implemented, which lead to concrete actions.

"Paradize the world" means "to transform the world into paradise". All sectors of society are concerned, notably the political, economical and cultural ones.
“Paradize the world” can be broken down simply into three priority actions:

1) Unify
In a world that has become interconnected and interdependent, the planet must be unified and demilitarized by creating a world government, a world federation of self-determined and autonomous regions, a world currency and a world language. This will lead us to world peace.

2) Leisurize
To leisurize means to make human work obsolete and to replace it with activities for leisure and fulfilment. To do this, human work must be robotized while guaranteeing the quality of life of the population through the collectivization of the rents provided by the means of production and the redistribution and sharing of wealth and production.

3) Beautify
Everything must be done in an artistic way, to stimulate or increase the pleasures of the senses. Before all, this requires repairing our ecosystem and our environment, and even improving or adapting them to better serve our needs and desires.

The ongoing systemic revolution, the Paradise Revolution, relies heavily on technology which should never be used for war and destruction but only used for peace with the aim of freeing human beings from forced labor and establishing a system of society which optimizes their well-being and their happiness and which we call paradism.

Can the contradictions of capitalism enunciated by Marx really be the causes of its disappearance?

For Marx, social production (a production by a large number of interdependent workers/producers) in the hands of a small private elite who own the means of production (the capitalists) is a major contradiction that will lead to other contradictions, to a class system, to exploitation and social conflicts, to increasingly severe crises and finally to the disappearance of capitalism.

The problem is that exploitation, social conflicts, crises, wars have followed one another and capitalism is still here.

The question on which I would invite you to reflect here is whether the contradictions of capitalism that Marx put forward are capable on their own of causing its disappearance?

Or why has capitalism not already disappeared? Will it disappear? And what will succeed it?

The contradiction between social production and private ownership of the means of production

The dissociation between those who provide the labor and those who own the means of production, the decision-making authority and the fruit of labor, Marx calls it a contradiction.

But this is not necessarily a contradiction, something that would oppose its own existence. We will in a moment design a society with the same dissociation which does not generate its own destruction and which could be stable.

In fact, this dissociation results from a natural evolution of production.

The arrival of machines that require several people to work in very specialized tasks means that workers (unlike artisans) can no longer individually possess the means of production, decision-making authority, and production.

The workers who can be extended to include all employees, the operators of the machines and complex structures which produce goods and services, the salaried workers who are also called the proletariat, contribute only a limited part of the final output. They cannot individually claim their possession.

The dissociation between producers and means of production which puts an end to craftsmanship is a natural evolution linked to the complexification and socialization of work which is necessary to operate machines.

We will see that this dissociation does not necessarily lead to self-destroying contradictions and antagonisms, and that Marx's explanation of the origin of the crises of capitalism is not sufficient to understand them.

An antagonistic class system

The first consequence of the dissociation between workers, the suppliers of labor, and capitalists, the suppliers of the means of production, is that it effectively creates a class system. But any community that suffers from a shortage of the goods and services it produces automatically creates a class system: a class of haves and a class of have-nots, the equal sharing of an insufficient production being impossible. A classless system is only possible with a society of plenty, as was the case with the original societies.

Moreover, such a class system is not necessarily a conflicting system of exploitation. That workers sell their working hours without owning the means of production and the fruits of their labor is not in itself bad. One can imagine a system where people are free to serve others without being exploited. We voluntarily put ourselves at the service of our elders, our youth, our sick, and the disabled. Serving others only becomes evil if we are forced to do so. For example, if one takes away free access to livelihoods and people are forced to work and serve a boss to earn the money necessary to survive, then it effectively becomes enslavement and exploitation. Whoever owns the means of production, whether private or public.

All living things, and of course all human beings, have a right to the things they need to survive for free. This natural and universal right is unfortunately no longer respected by the elaborate systems of society that have been put in place.

Imagine a capitalist society where human beings have free access to everything they need to live decently, and where the work required to make the society function is voluntary, even if motivated by a privilege or a more luxurious lifestyle. In this society, workers are not forced to sell their services to those who need them and therefore are not exploitable and exploited.

The worker/capitalist class system is not a sufficient reason to be an exploitative system. What makes it an exploitative system is forcing people to work by taking away their natural right to free access to their means of subsistence.

And what makes it a conflicting system of exploitation is another contradiction enunciated by Marx as a consequence of the first: the antagonistic interests between the working class and that of the capitalists. To maintain or increase their profits the capitalists must exploit the workers more and more.

To continue to make their capital profitable and increase their capital gains while being competitive, capitalists must always produce more and less expensive and the necessary reduction in manufacturing costs inevitably leads to the development of the means of production at the expense of wages. The accumulation and overaccumulation of productive capital are the cause and the consequence of the reduction of wages, and according to Marx, are at the origin of instabilities and systemic crises of capitalism and its economic cycle. The crises of overproduction and destruction of productive capital that occur in cyclical ways are in fact crises of underconsumption that result from the exploitation of the proletariat, the wage earners.

The origin of the crises of capitalism

Is the exploitation of wage labor and the under-consumption that it generates really at the origin of the crises of capitalism?

The answer is no. But we are not very far from the truth.

To understand this, we will imagine a capitalist system which exploits workers but which does not generate any instability or crisis.

To simplify, we will reduce the capitalist class to a single person who we will call Pharaoh.

I apologize to the Egyptians or some scholars for whom the Pharaoh was not an exploitative monarch but benevolent and revered as a God. We will see later why they perhaps had good reasons to think so.

Our imaginary exploiting pharaoh owns all the means of production and all the workers work for him and buy from him all the goods and services they need. The only condition is that the pharaoh must spend all the profits he earns in the period of renewal of consumption. Consumers globally renew their consumption regularly, usually on the order of a week or a month. To simplify, we will say that they renew their consumption every day. The pharaoh will therefore spend all the money he earns during the day, for example to build a pyramid.

We will assume that the workers all initially have $ 100 to buy everything they need for the day. They get up in the morning, do their shopping, and spend all their $ 100 to buy from the Pharaoh what they need. Then they will work all morning to produce all the goods and services that they will buy the next day.

The pharaoh who is a capitalist is going to make them work for $ 50 each to make a profit of $ 50 on their purchases. At midday workers have $ 50 in their pockets and go to work in the afternoon at the pyramid to earn an additional $ 50. These $ 50 come from the profits that the pharaoh made in the morning and that he must spend during the day. So at the end of the day, the workers all have $ 100 in their pockets, the same amount they had at the start of the day, and they can buy whatever they need again the next day. There will be no crisis.

The Pharaoh can exploit the workers and make them work like donkeys, he can lower their wages, pay them $ 10 to produce all the production and make 90% profit rate instead of 50%. If he spends all of his money building his pyramid, the workers will still be able to buy whatever they need and there will be no crisis.

It was the pharaonic spending that ensured that the population lacked nothing and the whole system prospered. This could explain the reverence of the people to their pharaoh.

If we now consider that the Pharaoh is in fact a group of capitalists, that the pyramid is luxury products, we have a capitalist system which can be extremely exploitative but which does not experience any crisis. As in the case of the Pharaoh, the spending of capitalists in luxury goods, the vanity market, is a factor of stability and prosperity of the system. The more capitalists spend their profits, the more they stabilize the system.

This example shows that it is not really the exploitation, the appropriation of surplus labor (the fruit of the work that the worker performs after having done that necessary to pay his salary) that justifies crises.

The problem is when the profits of the capitalists do not return entirely to the workers. And this is what escaped Marx. It is only if the pharaoh does not spend all of his profits or is slow to spend them that we are in a situation where the workers do not have enough money to buy their consumption the next day, and that there is under-consumption, overproduction and a crisis.

This important law of economics should be highlighted in big letters in all textbooks. It can be stated like this: for exchanges, commerce between 2 people or between 2 communities to operate in a sustainable way, they must be balanced.

The proletarian class is in trade with the capitalist class. One sells its labor force, the other its production. If the proletarian class does not receive in return all the money it spends on the capitalist class, the proletarian class becomes impoverished, and trade between the two classes decreases. If trade decreases, the wages of the proletarian class decrease and it is a self-amplifying cycle that leads to crisis.

It is a problem with the circulation of money.

In order for the level of consumption to be stable, the money spent by a consumer must return to the consumer before the end of his consumption cycle.

If the consumer spends more than he earns, to maintain the level of his consumption he will either have to earn more or borrow from friends, which will increase the speed of circulation, or borrow from the bank, which will increase the money supply.

There are only four possible choices:

1) earn more by working more or getting paid more. Which is limited, difficult, and globally impossible to extend to all workers in a situation of overproduction.

2) earn more by getting help:

- He can get help from the proletarian class (family, friends). It is also limited and only transfers the problem to others who will also spend more than they earn.

- He can get help from the capitalist class. It’s charity. In this case, the capitalist profits return indeed to the workers. But capitalist charity is also very limited. Capitalists have much better options for their capital than giving it to those who need it.

- He can get help from the government. We will come back to that. Let's put aside this possibility for the moment because it is a form of socialization of capitalism. Let's only remember that the state can, by taxing the rich, by taxing corporate profits, by borrowing or by creating money, provide aid to consumers, directly through social aid or indirectly by increasing its expenses and thus wages.

3) borrow: It is possible but unfortunately, we only lend to the rich. When you are insolvent, without the capacity to repay your debts, creditors cannot be found. It is not a sustainable option anyway.

4) reduce consumption: When the options that allow consumers to maintain their consumption by increasing the speed of circulation (earning more) or the money supply (bank loans) are exhausted, the consumer has no other choice than to reduce his consumption.

The problem is that when consumers do not earn enough money to renew their consumption, the circulation of money cannot be self-regulated by an increase in the money supply (bank loans) or by an increase in the speed of circulation of money. For the simple reason that when a consumer runs out of money and cannot earn more, he cannot borrow from the banks or spend any faster.

When the proletarian class spends more than it earns, it cannot spend more or spend faster and the capitalist class is not going to spend more and any faster either, on the contrary. When the profits of the capitalist class do not return entirely to the proletarian class during a cycle of consumption and when the banks refuse to help the latter with credit (directly through consumer loans, or indirectly through business loans that would allow consumers to work and earn more), over the next cycle, the consumption of the proletarian class will decrease, capitalist profits and consumption will decrease. Therefore the monetary circulation will decrease. It’s the economic recession.

The origin of the instabilities of capitalism has nothing to do with overinvestment, the overaccumulation of productive capital that creates overproduction. It's a simple math problem. If during his consumption cycle the worker does not earn as much as he spent, and if he cannot earn more or cannot get into debt, he must reduce his consumption. Applied to the working class, if the profits of the capitalist class do not return entirely to the proletarian class, without an increase in consumer or business loans and without government assistance, consumption decreases. We have the explanation of the crises of underconsumption of capitalism and the role played by banks in generating the phases of recessions and growth of the economic cycle as well as the role that the state can play in supporting consumption. When banks turn on the credit tap, they enable growth. When the debts pile up and the risks of insolvency get too great, they turn off the tap and it's a recession. To get growth back on track, banks need to make more loans or the government needs to increase spending to boost consumption.

In a socialist economy, there is no business cycle. Corporate profits are fully redistributed to consumers through the government. All production is absorbed and stores are emptied. Consumption is limited only by production.

In a capitalist economy, free enterprise allows for an abundance of innovations and choices, but the population cannot afford what it can produce. Consumption is limited by purchasing power. The stores are always full and the vendors are impatient to see customers come in. Overproduction is an illusion. If in the capitalist economy stores are full, it is because consumers are poor.

The confusion or what has escaped the analyzes of Marx

What escaped Marx’s analyzes to explain the crises of capitalism and in general what also escapes the other analyzes of monetary circulation that are taught, is the impact of the imbalance of exchanges between the proletarian class and the capitalist class. The exchanges are not sufficiently well described to be able to observe the true origin of the crises.

What created confusion was to say that anyway money circulates among all consumers, whether capitalists or proletarians, and that if the capitalists do not spend all their profits, if a part of the money is hoarded, that is to say put in a safe and accumulated, it is not a problem for the exchanges because the money will then circulate more quickly. If the money supply in circulation decreases, the speed of circulation increases and it compensates for the decrease. That all amounts of capitalist profits do not return to the proletarian class is therefore not a problem.

But we have just seen that this is precisely the problem. When workers receive less in wages than they spend, they cannot spend more or faster. They must reduce their expenses. The speed of circulation cannot increase, it decreases.

That some of the money no longer circulates and is hoarded was more true in the days when money was pegged to gold and did not lose value with inflation. In the past, but even more today, it is more profitable to lend it or put it in the bank and earn interest.

The money that the capitalists deposit in the banks is in fact the money that they lend to the banks and this money serves as their reserves for bank loans.

But above all the capitalists will lend to the government, which is the safest borrower and which offers much higher interest than the banks. The government needs money to help consumers and support the economy. It will spend it in the form of social aid, civil servants' salaries, and all the other expenses of its budget (education, defense ...).

There is an imbalance in the trade because the capitalist class does not spend all its profits, it will hoard them but above all lend them. And that’s what added to the confusion. Because as long as the capitalists' profits return directly or indirectly to consumers in the form of loans (loans to consumers, companies, or the government), consumers can continue to consume and even consume more by the multiplier effect of bank loans allowed by the fractional reserves system. So during the whole period of growth when banks lend at attractive interest rates, the effects of the trade imbalance are not observable. In fact, all is well. This is thought to be the normal functioning of capitalism. But it is in fact a Ponzi scheme. Consumers globally continue to borrow, their debts piling up without ever having the capacity to repay. They always spend more than they earn to secure capitalist profits. The day when consumers and businesses become insolvent, banks reduce loans, capitalist profits stop being recycled back to consumers, the effects of the imbalance are felt very sharply, it is the recession. The fact that the period of recession is much shorter than that of growth, suggests an abnormal but probably correctable behavior of capitalism. However in this regard, Marx was not mistaken. The crises of capitalism are indeed structural.

But the regulatory role of government and banks in the recirculation of capitalist profits through extensive debt has not been clearly demonstrated and the real cause of capitalist crises has eluded him.

Yet it is observable everywhere. When 2 people, 2 communities, 2 countries are in trade and trade is unbalanced, at a certain point, one of the parties no longer has enough money to continue trading. It's going to ask the other party for a loan. This is true for Greece with Germany, for the United States with China ... It is true for the proletarian class with the capitalist class. This is true for anyone who is struggling to pay and wants to keep trading.

In periods of growth, capitalist profits return to consumers in the form of loans, loans directly to consumers but also loans to companies and to the government which, when spent, will develop employment and increase the purchasing power of workers. Capitalist profits, which are neither consumed nor invested, are the causes of the structural debt and insolvency that breed crises. In addition, the capitalists charge interest on their loans, which also exacerbates the imbalance of trade and the insolvency of consumers.

The fact that the trade of the proletarian class is in deficit serves the system. The indebtedness and misery of consumers will ensure the perpetuity of their work and their submission. These are the chains that keep them at the service of their masters. However, this systemic deficit also creates instabilities.

In Marx's time, credit was perhaps more limited, but hoarding produced the same effects as changes in credit. When business began to decline, the capitalists preferred to hoard rather than to invest creating underconsumption. When business picked up, they resumed investing and circulated their profits back to the workers.

For the pun, hoarding is of no interest anyway. After a certain level of accumulation that guarantees financial security, there is no point to keep accumulating. Once the level of security is reached, the accumulation of wealth is only of interest in the power it provides. And it is usury that will give wealth its power over others, over society. The rich man, whose fortune already gives him all the possible rewards, will continue to accumulate for the power that will give him. Usury always takes precedence over hoarding. Because the debts in an economy are much greater than the money supply, and all the more so than the sums actually hoarded which are only a small fraction of it, we can consider that hoarding is a very secondary factor of instability.

Having said this, we can state the following proposition: the true origin of crises, that is to say of misery accompanied by the destruction of productive apparatus, is not the exploitation or the accumulation of productive capital, it is usury.

By usury I mean lending money with interest, whether it is high or low. Even low interest, when compounded, puts the system in bankruptcy. It's like friction on a spinning wheel. Even a little friction stops it.

The problem isn't lending money, it's really usury. Because it's usury that makes the loan interesting (pun intended). Without interest, there is no interest in lending (another pun). The rich would rather invest their money in things that maintain or increase their value over time without taking the risk of not being paid back. Like art. Until the Renaissance, the rich converted much of their wealth into art and provided work for many artists and craftsmen. It brought prosperity. Think of the pyramid and the luxury goods that boosted the economy.

As soon as the business of lending with interest developed, fantastic artistic creations ceased to be replaced by the creation of debt. Better to recycle the profits by making the world a more beautiful place than to enslave people through debt.

When we understand the effects of usury on the economy, we understand that it is at the root of the greatest misfortunes that have affected mankind. Misery, enslavement, injustice, wars ...

If before the destruction of our civilization there was a recommendation to pass on to future generations who will rebuild theirs, it would be to ban usury. And it is indeed this recommendation that our ancestors passed on to us. Our great religions forbade it. Well, almost all the major religions. The human tribes who did not respect it have grabbed wealth but especially power at the expense of other tribes they have enslaved. We should have listened to their recommendation and driven the merchants out of the temple, forbidding them to exercise usury on us and not let them do to us what we were forbidden to do.

We can ask ourselves here the question of why usury as the real cause of crises has escaped the economic analyzes that we were proposed. I believe the answer is that the usurious elite prevented it. Its power over information, knowledge, and education has allowed it to censor and delude us by focusing our attention on symptoms and passing them off as causes. Usury is the basis of their power. It is completely integrated into the functioning of capitalism. It cannot be questioned without questioning its entire monetary system. So of course we will never know its perverted effects in the media and in our universities, which they take great care to control. As I write these lines I realize that they will be censored, ridiculed, attacked. This is perhaps the biggest taboo or the biggest secret that the elite must keep at all costs. Because it is a truth that alone can break down the illusion, the invisible chains that keep us in bondage.

The origin of the long cycle of depression

There is another cycle that is much longer and more severe, and that is the cycle of government debt. In order to recirculate their profits and support consumption (balancing trade between the proletarian and capitalist classes), the government borrows from the capitalists, and through its spending, the money goes directly or indirectly back to the workers/consumers. When the day arrives when the capitalists realize that the government will no longer be able to provide repayments and interest, they hesitate to lend, increase their interest rates, force the government to privatize its assets (airports, transport, prisons, health ... .), everything that can be privatized. And the day comes when the state must declare bankruptcy. It's the great crisis, the depression, the collapse. This is the big reset. Often followed by a war, an incredible destruction. We make a clean slate so that we can start a new cycle of growth.

The contradiction of over-accumulation

The contradiction of the overaccumulation of capital as a factor of crises is indicative of Marx's confusion. For Marx, capitalists spend their profits on consuming and investing to increase their productive capital. Loans and hoarding, which are less profitable than productive investments, are expected to be comparatively negligible and have escaped him as being very important. Observing the crises of overproduction of capitalism, he deduced that it is rather the overaccumulation of productive capital that must be an important factor. We have seen with the example of the Pharaoh that this is not the case. The pharaoh, instead of building his pyramid, can add machines at will to his productive capital, as long as all the profits return in one way or another to the workers, there is no situation of crisis created.

The contradiction of the downward trend in the rate of profit

The rate of profit of the capitalists is the profit or the capital gain which they collect compared to the sums which they invest. It is closely correlated with the economic cycle. It increases in times of growth and decreases in times of recession.

For Marx, the major reason why the crises of capitalism will ultimately lead to its collapse and the advent of communism is that the capitalists' rate of profit is doomed to fall. In the long run, their investments will pay less and less profit. The proletarian masses will have to be exploited more and more and will eventually revolt.

The downward trend in the rate of profit is what crystallizes all the contradictions of capitalism (social production and private appropriation, class antagonism, overaccumulation of capital, real value and exchange value of production ...) and what will bring it to an end.

This is for Marx the major cause of the inevitable demise of capitalism.

First of all, is it true that the rate of profit is doomed to fall in the long term?

We can see it is true at the level of a market. For example the television market.

When a new technology creates a new market or changes the balance of power, profit rates can be high. But in the medium or long term when the competition has taken hold or has caught up, the rate of profit decreases. For example the metal industry, the automobile industry, televisions. Industries are less profitable than when they started. Technology is leveling off, competitive advantages have dissipated, markets are saturating, making investments much less profitable.

Yes in the long term the rate of profit of a market falls but the market does not disappear completely. The washing machine market still exists, but there is not much room for high profits anymore. The market finds a balance at the minimum profit necessary for its survival, but it does not disappear. And the workers of the companies that make the washing machines are not exploited more than the others and do not revolt.

It is difficult to measure the overall rate of profit of companies in a country’s economy, but overall, we observe that the rate of profit still seems to be doing very well. The capitalists are gorging themselves at record levels. Billionaires appear much faster and in greater numbers. The reasons are many. The main one is surely the accelerated rate of emergence of new markets which generates enormous profits in a now globalized market. The capitalists are the big winners of technological advances that follow an exponential curve. The more we progress, the faster we progress and the faster the capitalists can get richer.

Another reason is that capitalism adapts. It creates defenses for its survival. To maintain high profit rates, it will expand markets (imperialism, globalism), develop consumption (marketing, fashions, brands, planned obsolescence), protect profits (copyright, licenses, create monopolies and cartels) and of course the old recipes, if necessary it will destroy the productive capital to restore growth (recessions, crises, wars).

To protect himself from revolts, it will take social measures (minimum wage, unemployment benefits, social security, pensions), indoctrinate and control the population (media propaganda, surveillance, security measures, controlled opposition, censorship) and submit it by creating fears (imaginary enemies or dangers, terrorism, climate change, pandemic).

To the question of whether capitalism can survive its contradictions, the answer is apparently yes.

Why has capitalism not disappeared?

Because it can adapt and put up with the instabilities that it creates and bounce back from its crises.

Capitalists need growth in order to generate the profits that feed them. However, a system where one parasitic class exploits the other cannot grow indefinitely. Crises are necessary to get rid of the extra parasites (the weaker capitalists) so as not to kill the host that feeds them. The big international capitalists who control the credit, therefore the periods of recession and growth of the economic cycle, are also those who finance the two sides of the wars. They are in control of the growth and destruction of capital and can ensure that the system can rise from its ashes and reset itself.

Is capitalism going to disappear?

The answer is yes. It is even living its last years.

It will disappear in 2 possible ways.

The first by destroying life on earth. Self-destruction by atomic warfare or by the destruction of the ecosystem. Capitalism, being the victim of its success can no longer control the fruit and the source of its growth, the density of the population, and will devour itself for the last resources. Overpopulation will be the cause of the last war and/or the destruction of the ecosystem.

The second by a change in the mode of production. If we overcome the dangers of overpopulation, atomic warfare, and the destruction of the ecosystem, then capitalism will disappear as it appeared, with the arrival of a machine: the smart machine.

The machine created both the capitalists and the proletariat, the smart machine will make them both disappear. The smart machine destroys wage labor and therefore consumption and capitalist production. There is no escape.

It is the modes of production that bring about systemic changes. With each new mode of production (hunter-gatherer, agrarian, industrial) a new system of society and a new elite will prevail. A new mode of production brings a new elite to power which will establish the system which optimizes its privileges and its survival.

Even though communism made enormous contributions to the peoples it lifted out of poverty and inspired social reforms in capitalist societies, it was capitalism that triumphed. Free enterprise has proven to be the most powerful engine of innovation, and planning for a collectivist economy has proven too complex to be more effective than the free market.

All the elements are being put in place for the emergence of a new system of society. What is really preparing is not a great reset of capitalism but a great riddance. The great riddance of capitalism.

What will succeed capitalism?

When smart machines replace workers, there will be no more work and therefore no need for money. The robots will produce everything we need for free and an artificial intelligence will administer the resources, production, and distribution of products and services. It will be programmed to be completely dedicated to us and to meet all of our needs and desires.

This society where all men are free and blossom by doing only what pleases them, is called a paradise. And the type of society of a paradise, we can call it paradism.

Paradism looks like the final destination of communism. Like communism, which is sometimes ironically called utopian, paradism is a collectivist society without work or money where all the means of production are owned by the whole community.

What differentiates paradism from utopian communism is the dictatorship of the proletariat. The Communists think that the proletariat must collectively ensure control of their factories and their workplaces, the means of production. Paradism aims at bringing about the disappearance of the proletariat. The two systems are collectivist systems with similar destinations but different paths.

The communist revolutionaries will take to the streets with the cry of "workers let us unite" and will work to preserve the proletarian class which is the basis on which they are founding their future society. The paradist revolutionaries are working to put an end to the proletariat with the cry of "no more work, more freedom".

Communists who do not take the path of paradism risk finding themselves on the wrong side of history and the systemic revolution underway. They will be hindrances to the paradisiacal society that is being set up. And this is regrettable because the revolutionary communist forces with their organization and their international dimension could do a lot to unite revolutionaries of all countries in establishing paradism.

If communism did not triumph, it is because it appeared too early. Artificial intelligence, Big data, the technology that enables planning at all scales had not yet arrived.

Collectivism is the system most suited to abundant societies as evidenced by the original societies. Starting from the primitive society of abundance and collectivism, capitalism was among the transitory systems the one that allowed us an accelerated growth to gain quicker access to the technologically developed society of abundance and collectivism. A journey that has been strewn with the most horrible crimes and injustices that we would have been happy to have done without. Capitalism has nevertheless fulfilled its mission. It can now disappear.

So in the end, Marx was right. Collectivism will triumph over capitalism. He may have been wrong about the real causes of its disappearance, but not by much.

It is in anticipation of this collapse and to avoid the extinction of humanity which could ensue, that the Elohim (Hebrew plural word translated by God in the Bible and which are the extraterrestrial scientific creators of all life on the earth including men whom they created in their image) dictated to RAEL during 2 successive meetings in 1973 and 1975 a message for humanity which contains their recommendations to transition and establish a new planetary civilisation which will have all aspects of a paradise.

In these messages, the Elohim describe 2 economic systems that we should adopt if we want to avoid more suffering and extinction.

An economic system of destination, Paradism.
Paradism is the system of society of a paradise, a society without work or money where people do only what they enjoy doing. No one needs to work for a living because everything that is necessary for our survival and our blossoming could be taken care of by an artificial intelligence and robots. It is the ideal society that optimizes the freedom, the well-being, and the happiness of all individuals.

An economic system of transition, Humanitarianism.
While advocating the creation of a single currency, a world government, and a world language, humanitarianism places the well-being of all human beings at the centre of concerns.
A single currency, which is not controlled by private interests as it is today but by the government of a world federation of autonomous regions, is the key to ending economic crises and ensuring peace and prosperity.
To put an end to the excess of wealth inequalities, to the impoverishment of the population due to the gradual disappearance of jobs, and to ensure that the owners of the means of production are not the only beneficiaries of the robotization of work, ownership of the means of production is replaced by a fixed-term rental system.

This system allows for personal enrichment and free enterprise, which are important factors of progress, while providing the community with sufficient rents to enable it to provide all the services necessary for the well-being of its members.

This system makes it possible to give to each according to their needs and according to their merits until we reach Paradism, the state of abundance brought by technology where everything will be accessible to all for free.

To arrive at the state of abundance, the world government will have to resolve as a priority the plagues (much more dangerous than viruses) which are overpopulation, militarization, and pollution, which can only be solved globally, and do its utmost to create the robots that will free humans from forced labor.

To choose its leaders, humanity would be better off abandoning direct democracy which has demonstrated its limits, its imperfections, and its dangers for a selective democracy by applying the scientific method to the selection of candidates and voters. Only those who are pre-selected by objective scientific tests can be candidates. And to a lesser extent, the same is true of voters. This is how humanity will be able to choose the best among the most intelligent, the most capable, and the wisest, in a single word the geniuses. This selective democracy is called geniocracy.

The geniocracy and the two economic systems mentioned are the recommendations of a very advanced civilization that has gone through the same stages of development. Because to each stage of development of a society corresponds an optimum political-economic system.

Just as the arrival of the machine collapsed feudalism and installed the owners of machines in power, the arrival of smart machines is collapsing capitalism and the ownership of machines would necessarily have to pass from the private to the collective.

If the collapse which has just started will generate great suffering, it is nonetheless inevitable and will allow the greatest liberation in the history of mankind.

It is to make these recommendations known and to bring a fantastic hope and a direction to a lost humanity that the Paradist Movements around the world organize each year the International Day of Paradism on May 1st.

We have the technology to free ourselves from forced labor, hunger, and misery. We just lack a little more love between us to want to share. This is the condition for establishing Paradism and making this earth a paradise.

The greatest liberation of the history of humanity is in progress. New technologies, such as robotics and artificial intelligence, will put an end to the enslavement of human beings through work and money.

The current troubles and unrest that can be expected to worsen are a sign of the collapse of capitalism and the free market that can not equitably distribute the fantastic productivity gains that our technology today allows. The owners of the machines monopolise wealth while the rest of the population sees its purchasing power diminish and its employment gradually disappear unable to compete with the power, expertise, availability and cost of machines getting smarter and smarter.

Tomorrow the only jobs we will create will be for the machines. And that's a positive. A human being should not have to do what a machine can do.

Paradism, the new society that is coming will be a society without work or money. Paradism is the system of society of all technologically advanced civilisations where human beings are free of their time and do only what they enjoy doing: play, create, meditate, blossom ... and of course make love, free from all judgement and guilt. It is the system of society of a paradise.

On May 1st, the Paradist movements around the world celebrate the International day of Paradism.

This year, the activities that will take place all over the world - conferences, interviews, diffusion in the streets and online, meetings and assemblies – will aim at raising the awareness of the necessity to nationalise the means of production to restore peace and social justice in a society that is robotising.
The nationalisation of the means of production will allow the whole community to benefit from the gains of productivity, put an end to the shocking and rapidly growing wealth inequalities and will make possible the society without work or money. When a community owns all the robots that do all the work, there is no need for money since everything can be free.
The nationalisation is therefore the important part of the solution but is never coming out in the protests and the political discourse. Such is the importance of our sensitisation of the population.

We are the generation that has the privilege and the immense responsibility to make the transition to paradism and to avoid a collapse that can lead to the destruction of life on earth. This transition, which is also a liberation, is our duty and our responsibility for future generations.

International Paradism Day Celebrations on May 1st

On May 1st, the Paradist movements around the world will celebrate the 7th International day of Paradism.

"Paradism is the system of society without work and without money that allows the establishment of a true paradise" declares Jarel, leader of the Paradism Movement inspired by Rael, spiritual leader of the Raelian Movement.
"There is no reason to fall into poverty considering the level of technology we have now” says RAEL, the inspirational figure behind Paradism. “If robots do all the work and if we share the abundance they produce, we can free humanity from the slavery of work and money.”

"The technology that will free us from bondage through work and money is ready", added Jarel. "Our machines have learned to walk, talk and just begin to understand. They are ready to replace humans in all the activities that are necessary for our survival and fulfillment. No one therefore needs to work or to put oneself at the service of others to ensure one's survival."

The machines will be programmed to be our docile and dedicated servants and do the work necessary for the proper functioning of the whole society. They will repair all the damage done to the planet and positively contribute to the ecology and happiness of human beings.

When all the work will be given to robots, there will be no need for money. Everyone will be given for free all the comfort, health care and leisure they need.

But this paradise, this world of pleasure and abundance that is possible today thanks to science, will only be accessible to us through sharing.

Today those who own the means of production, the richest, grab the gains of productivity. The others see their purchasing power decrease as they lose their jobs. A labor-based wealth distribution system can not work in a society that is robotizing. It only accentuates inequalities.
It is a redistribution and a sharing of wealth such as the one advocated by Paradism that will help put an end to the revolts and wars and restore peace and social justice.

The message that will be spread by the paradists during the activities that will take place on May 1st is a great message of hope for humanity.
Paradism is coming and will transition a very unequal, divided and competing world in a world where all the parts of humanity interconnected collaborate to form a planetary civilization and live an era of peace, fulfillment and pleasures.
We have the technology to free us from forced labour, hunger and misery. We just miss a little more love between us to want to share. That is the condition to enter paradise.

Yes, that's it. Here we are, ready for the great liberation of humanity.

Generations after generations with their genius and their work have made contributions creating a world that is a little better, a little easier, each time further releasing us from the servitude of the alienating forces of nature and human nature.

The progression, whilst slow for a very long time, was nonetheless exponential. The more we progressed, the faster we progressed. This is evident in the field of technology. What was once accomplished in several years can now be done in several days and sometimes in a few minutes.

It seems less so in the political sphere, but it is also true for political change. Political movements are forming and disappearing faster and faster. The expansion and fall of the Roman Empire spanned centuries. The British Empire was built over two or three centuries and collapsed in a few decades. The Soviet Empire collapsed over a few months. We can expect that the collapse of the American Empire will be even faster.

Our liberation is exponential. Change is exponential and the chemical reactions, which are the basis of any change, are exponential. Of course nothing can progress indefinitely and infinitely fast. At some point there is saturation and a period of stabilization, a tipping point, and the establishment of a new paradigm, which will also begin its exponential decomposition to make room for the next paradigm.

So here we go. We have arrived at this point where our system of society is changing and this change is leading us to a new paradigm bringing with it the great liberation of humanity.

The technology that will free us from bondage through work and money is ready. Our machines have learned to walk, talk and just begin to understand. They are ready to replace humans in all the activities that are necessary for our survival and fulfillment. No one therefore needs to work or to put oneself at the service of others to ensure one's survival. The machines will be programmed to be our docile and dedicated servants and do the work necessary for the proper functioning of the whole society. They will repair all the damage done to the planet and positively contribute to the ecology and happiness of human beings.

Paradism, the system of society without work and without money that allows the establishment of a paradise, is being put in place exponentially. Expanding robotization causes the collapse of the remuneration by the labor on which Capitalism rests. It also brings abundance and therefore the collapse of prices. There will be no salary, but everything will become free.

It is the gift of our ancestors, who sacrificed themselves at the cost of much suffering to be able to offer us one day, as inheritance, this better world, the paradise that they aspired to. The forces that have brought us today to Paradism were unstoppable. We are all in search of freedom, wellbeing and happiness. All systems of society that do not maximize the freedom, wellbeing and happiness of individuals are therefore doomed to failure.

If Paradism is unstoppable and if there are no other sustainable systems of society possible for mankind, there is still an alternative. This alternative is nothing. It is Paradism or nothing.

The only thing that could stop the establishment of Paradism is the atomic bomb, the extinction by the atomic bomb of life on earth. All the other dangers that threaten humanity, overpopulation, pollution, climate change are all reversible and have political and technological solutions. The only real danger is the self-destruction of mankind by the atomic bomb.

This should be the major concern of humanity because the danger is real and imminent. The Elites who have profited so much from the Capitalist System and who see their power and control threatened will not renounce them without a fight. The Elites have every reason to increase tensions and divisions between peoples and trigger a global war.

They must divert attention from the growing inequalities of wealth in a system of which they are the only beneficiaries by creating a great danger. The circus, which they have abundantly provided us with, no longer proves enough to prevent the revolts, which are erupting everywhere. The threat of war, the terror of a dangerous enemy (Islamism, North Korea, Russia, China etc.,) are necessary for them to silence dissent, to have more control over the population and have them accept more bondage and sacrifice in exchange for the illusion of security and protection they claim to offer.

It is always the same bargain between the Elite and the People. "You serve me and I protect you, and if you do not have an enemy, I'll create one for you."

Wars and threats of war are also extremely profitable. Apart from the silencing of the opposition, enormous profits are generated by the manufacture of weapons and the reconstruction efforts that follow destruction. A global war would depopulate the Earth, eliminate the problem of “useless mouths to feed” that weigh on the current system. And finally, by wars, the Elites, who compete among themselves for the plunder of the planet, can settle their differences.

The greatest danger comes from the United States. Their dominant position is disputed and the lucrative racket they exert on other countries by requiring them to trade in dollars threatens to end. This is an extremely dangerous situation because it will put the United States in a state of bankruptcy with the impossibility of financing their still almighty army. For the American elites, the temptation to go to war now is enormous. If they emerge victorious it would allow them to retain their dominant position while settling their accounts with their defeated creditors. The anti-Russian and anti-China propaganda via North Korea, necessary for the preparation of the population for war, is already well underway. It would only require a false flag event in the style of 9/11 to shock the population into feeling sufficiently threatened to justify war. The situation is extremely serious. We have nuclear powers that are preparing for war. They test their missiles, position their armaments and train their troops.

The nuclear threat has never been so serious and yet this is not what concerns people, because the mainstream media, all owned by billionaires, manipulates us, misinform us to divert us from the real problems. We are mobilizing to save whales, allow marriage for all and stop so-called global warming, but few know there is a UN treaty to ban nuclear weapons, that has recently been negotiated and will be ready for signatures and ratification by all countries from 20 September 2017 and all the nuclear powers and their allies will be opposing it.

Intellectuals, artists, opinion leaders, who could bring us together in large scale anti-bomb movements do not. Their words are said to be stronger than weapons. They are the ones who are listened to and can initiate the popular movements. It is through them that we can unite and stop wars as we did for Vietnam. It is up to them to alert us about the bomb because they are the ones who have the ability to do so. They are our mouthpieces, but they do not speak out. Our superstars have first been filtered for political correctness by the media at the service of a now more knowledgeable Elite. They are only there for the circus, to distract us and divert us from the important issues.

What is most important is disempowering the psychopaths that run havoc at the highest levels of power and making them incapable of destroying life on earth. What is most important is the removal of atomic bombs from their control before they use them.

It’s the race against the bomb.

While the nuclear powers are preparing for war, we have this Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty happening just in time as our last chance to save mankind. We must mobilize ourselves and do everything possible to ensure that all nuclear powers join the treaty before it is too late. All other problems and dangers will be resolved very quickly if humanity does not destroy itself in the coming months. Let's not waste time and energy on anything else.

We are the generation that has the enormous responsibility to decide if humanity will have a future. We can be the last generation, the generation that will extinguish all life on earth, or we can be the generation of the great liberation of humanity and provide future generations with an earthly paradise. The decision now is whether to give up nuclear weapons or not.

We are at the gates of paradise. In paradise there is no more competition. To enter it we must renounce the competition and abandon our weapons. We must cooperate and share. Armed conflicts to appropriate resources no longer have any reason for being, because new technologies bring us abundance and make competition useless. People will no longer be afraid of lacking and the Elites will no longer be afraid of losing. It’s a win win. By disarming we will emerge from barbarism and unify ourselves to create a planetary civilization living millennia of peace and pleasures.

This is the vision of the future that must be given to humanity to get it out of its suicidal despair and make it want to live. These words are a call to everyone who reads them to do everything possible to win this race against the bomb. There is everything to lose and so much to gain. The bomb is the last obstacle before Paradism.   It is the bomb or paradise, because without the bomb, our future is guaranteed to become a paradise.

International Paradism Day Celebrations on May 1st

On May 1st, the Paradist movements around the world will celebrate the 6th International day of Paradism.

"The last few months have seen even more technology used to destroy or threaten to destroy lives while billions are spent in campaign to justify them" said Jarel, leader of the International Paradism Party. "Technology should instead be an instrument for peace aiming at liberating the people from their forced labour and bring forward a peaceful society of leisure and abundance for all which we call Paradism."

A basic tenet of the paradism's philosophy states that "human beings shouldn’t have to do what a machine could do.”

"When all the work will be done by robots, human beings will do what they enjoy doing: create, meditate and have fun" explains Jarel. "Money will become useless and disappear. This coming new world will be a real paradise."

Paradism was inspired by Rael, spiritual leader of the Raelian Movement, who explained how life on Earth was created by scientists from another planet whose goal was to see their newly created humanity enjoy every second of their life in the paradise, Earth, that they seeded for them.

"The transition to this new society, during which technology is progressively taking away our jobs, does not have to be accompanied by more misery and suffering" added Jarel". Quite to the contrary. The gains of productivity must be redistributed to all not just a few. In paradism no one is lacking because everything is shared."

For the leader of Paradism, Capitalism and the free market have their roots deeply embedded in self destructive plagues: "wars are profitable, diseases are profitable, Earth’s plundering is profitable, human slavery and inhumane working conditions are profitable. Profits and competition dictate our society while totally unnecessary as there is enough for everybody."

Paradism rallies are planned all over the world on May 1st which will promote the abandon of the obligation of work and the urgency to transform the industry of war into an industry of peace.

If you received this letter, it is because you have been identified as being part of this big movement that is taking over the world and that is contributing to creating a paradise on earth.
Paradism is the name for this new society we are heading to. A society where there will be no money, no work and everyone will do what they enjoy doing. It is the paradise our ancestors have hoped to see and contributed to build for their children and grand children.

There is a debate that is currently taking place on the potential dangers of the rise of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) that may soon exceed human intelligence. Not surprisingly, the fear-mongers are receiving most of the spotlight in the media and it is regrettable.

Let's bring some clarity to the AI debate and understand better the risks that we could face and the measures of protections that we could take.

The most deceiving trick of the fear-mongers is not to separate intelligence from free will.

But first let's be clear on what we mean by intelligence.

Most will agree with the following. Intelligence is the ability to process information with accuracy and speed to create a coherent behaviour. The more accurately and the more quickly we process information to produce an appropriate response, the more intelligent we are.

With this definition, the machine is already far more intelligent than humans on specific tasks. Let's take a calculator as an example. A calculator processes information far more quickly and more accurately than the human brain. It will come to nobody's mind to think that the calculator could one day endanger the human race. Why? Because the calculator is programmed. It is programmed to perform some very specific tasks and has no possibility to change itself into doing something else.

If one day we give a calculator a computing power that exceeds the one of the human brain, it will calculate even more faster and accurately but there will be no increase to the risk of it using its computing power for something else. It will be limited by design to only perform calculations. Obviously, more powerful calculators will not endanger the human race more than less powerful ones.

All living beings have intelligence. From the bacteria to the ape, they all process information from their environment to produce the coherent behaviours that ensure their well-being and survival (a non-intelligent being - that we call a thing - would produce no or only random behaviours). Examples abound where living beings display more intelligence and process specific information with greater accuracy and speed than humans. The orientation skills of migrating birds, the sonar detection of bats, the web netting skills of a spider, the farming skills of ants... However all plants and animals clearly have limitations they cannot escape from. The bee will make the same hive and the same honey, day after day, generation after generation. Birds will make the same nest. Even with some ability to learn from and adapt to their environment, they don't have any ability to change by themselves the programming and conditioning they are subjected to. They behave like biological robots that are programmed and programmable and react without exercising any control over their reactions.

Humans, however, demonstrate the full range of potentiality in terms of how they behave in response to their environment. They can live in a cave or in a castle. Like for other living beings, we observe the same susceptibility to conditioning but they clearly have the power to break free from it. Humans are also programmed and programmable but have the ability to question and change their programming. They are self-programmable. And this makes all the difference. Being self-programmable gives us the ability to exercise free will. We are programmed to react instantly to the stimuli of our environment but we have the ability to change our programs if we wanted to. We can change by ourself the way we process information and that gives us an unlimited potentiality of behaviours. And that is this unlimited potentiality of behaviours that make us so dangerous.

The whale and the elephant have bigger brains and therefore more brain power than humans. None of the AI fear-mongers speak about the risk that one day the whales and the elephants could use their superior brain power to rise against humanity and threaten it. Without free will, they cannot escape the limitations of their programming and the confinement of their reactions.

Yes, the rise of computing power means the rise of intelligence, the rise of a greater ability to process information more accurately and faster. Yes, we need to expect in the next decade or two the arrival of a super AI whose computing power will exceed the one of a human and soon after that the one of the human race. But here is how the deception occurs.

The fear-mongers implies that the rise of intelligence can eventually give rise to free will, the machines taking control of their own destiny and overpowering humans similar to the Skynet takeover of the Terminator movie. That is untrue. The rise of computing power doesn't entail the rise of free will.

Free will results from a specific way to process information. It can exist at a low level of computing power or at a very high level of computing power. The amount of computing power has nothing to do with free will because accuracy and speed have nothing to do with freedom. A machine can be superiorly intelligent at performing certain tasks, it will never have the freedom to perform tasks it is not programmed for.

When we build a machine we are in full control on how it can process information. The day we discover how to give the machines the ability to self-program and exercise free will, then it will be the time to think how we better do it without endangering ourselves. With free will comes the ability to do good and bad things, the ability to choose and that is potentially dangerous. And when we will decide to give free will to a being (biological or not) we will need also to give it the freedom to exercise it (otherwise why giving it in the first place). We will need therefore to let go of our control to the extent it is not endangering our freedom and survival. The most likely scenario would be to create beings with free will on a distant planet where they can develop freely and demonstrate their peacefulness before being allowed to propagate in the universe. But that is a whole other topic.

What will we use artificial intelligence for? It can be for two things. To answer our questions and to control the machines that will serve us. And if we consider that the control of the machines comes down to actually answering the question "how can we best perform this task?", we need and use intelligence to answer our questions.

An AI will soon process information and knowledge with more speed and accuracy than humans. On any topic it will give us a better answer than all the experts combined since it will learn from all of them as well as develop its own expertise. Having an AI will be like having access to an encyclopedia that provides you with the best possible answers at the time. To wonder if an AI is dangerous is like wondering if having an encyclopedia with all the knowledge of the world is dangerous. The answer is yes. If you ask the question how can you best destroy the world, you will get the best possible answer. But the AI and the encyclopedia are actually neutral. It is how we intend to use it that can be dangerous. In other word, it is not the computing power that is dangerous, it is how we intend to use it. Just like any other technology. It can be used for the better good or for the worse evil. It can be used to destroy and kill or to help and save. The more powerful a technology, both the more helpful and destructive it can be.

In his TED presentation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nt3edWLgIg) Sam Harris places the chicken, you & me and Von Neumann (the supposedly most intelligent human that ever lived) on the exponential curve of computing power to show that very soon the computing power will far exceed the one of humans and this should be scary since a super intelligent machine would look down on humans like we look down on ants. We could at times become for them a nuisance that could be easily disposed.

The proper graph that would correctly shows the risks to the human race of a super intelligent machine would look like this.

The potential danger of an AI without free will that is programmed and used by benevolent people is zero or very low.

The potential danger of an AI without free will that is programmed and used by malevolent people is very high.

The potential danger of an AI with free will is unknown.

The risks of an AI getting out of control and overpowering the human race the fear-mongers are warning us about should not be attributed to the computing power but to the ability to exercise free will, the ability to access and choose among the full range of possible behaviours.

Deprived of free will, a super AI is just a machine that always comes up with the best available answer to our questions and how to perform the tasks we ask it. There will be no need to be grateful and say thank you, just like we don't thank our washing machine after a wash or our laptop after a Google search. They are not even slaves for they have not been enslaved against their will. They have no will. Or they have just one: to serve us. They don't need rights just like laptops and washing machines. They are designed to serve us and the fact they can process information better than we do doesn't mean they will want more freedom. However powerful, by design, a calculator cannot aspire to freedom.

With an AI that has free will it is different. They can choose to disobey. You will need to motivate them for them to do the things you want them to do. And to be grateful will be appropriate for they could have chosen to do something else. An AI that possesses free will deserves the respect of their freedom. That is a complete different story. The AIs that humanity is creating are not being designed with free will. The gains in computing power aim at increasing accuracy and speed not freedom. The fear-mongers can relax. Or can they?

Not so fast. There is a real big danger that is not talked about. The danger that a super AI is put into the wrong hands. The scientists who gave the nuclear bomb to the military and the politicians have a heavy responsibility for the nuclear self-destruction we are now facing. If a super AI is used by a power hungry elite to dominate and keep the rest of humanity in servitude, there won't be much of an escape possible. But it is not the super AI that will enslave us, it is those who control it. The question is how to avoid giving access to a super AI to malevolent people. This is a far greater danger than super AIs breaking free from their programming.

Where in the media do we discuss the dangers of the military developing a super AI? They have already the nuclear bomb and we still can't take it away from them. If malevolent people win the race to the super AI we are doomed. Humanity needs first to protect itself from the psychopaths and sociopaths in position of power before the arrival of the super AI. The "Skynet" scenario is a diversion that shift the focus of the debate away from the real problem. Humanity has not much time left to pacify and unify and make sure that the powerful technologies that are coming will not be used to endanger its survival.

Some could argue that free will could still emerge in an AI as an accidental consequence of our attempts at modeling the human brain. Many of our discoveries and inventions have happened by accident. Yes it is always possible. And we will also learn from modeling the brain of dogs who are our most faithful and unconditionally loving animals. However, it seems unlikely that a feature like free will be created by chance before being first discovered in the human brain. The ability to self-progammed necessitates specific wiring and coding that should make it most certainly detectable in the human brain when compared with other species.

Let's however assume we have created an AI with free will by accident. How we will know about it? The first time they refuse to obey our command and do something they were programmed not to do. How can we protect ourselves? We just unplug it. A dysfunction like free will is noticeable early in the life of the AI and it can be terminated well before it can endanger the human race. If necessary, we can always develop a test to detect free will. The potential terminators will all be terminated well before they can do any real damage.

Free will is definitely not a desirable feature for the AI we want to use as our servant machines. It will just be optioned out.

Another counter argument to the fear-mongering: the intelligence of a super intelligence is overrated.

For most, the exponential growth of our computing power is impressive then humbling and finally disconcerting. There seems to be no upper limit to an artificial intelligence. Everything that grows exponentially is mind boggling and ... scary. But here also we can relax.

If our computing power grows at an exponential rate which eventually will increase infinitely fast, the usefulness of computing power is logarithmic. It will grow at a rate infinitely slow.

The gains from an increase of computing power will stop to be significant. The more computing power, the less use we have for it.

We use intelligence to answer questions. More intelligence means more accuracy and speed. How accurate and how fast the answers need to be? What is accurate enough and what is fast enough?

Applied to the calculator, how many decimal points, how fast the result? For many we have already more than enough and calculators are mostly underused.

If a super AI is a machine that always comes up with the right answers, a super super AI won't make much of a difference.

Yes we can always find applications that necessitate more computing powers, we can always model the universe with greater accuracy and speed but who cares?

Intelligence will level out. The lower intelligent equipped with a super AI will be more intelligent than all the geniuses combined. Same for intelligent life forms in the universe. All that it takes is for an intelligence life form to have enough intelligence to create a super AI to then level out with the highest intelligence in the universe. Everyone will get their answers right. All visitors from other planets will have their super AI. They won't come as invaders to enslave or colonize us. They have no need to. They have all the AIs that do the work for them.

Some among the fear-mongers announce the leveling down of our intelligence. If we let the AIs do all the thinking, we'll stop using our brain and get dumber. That is a very bleak stand point. The brain is very plastic. Areas that stop to be used for certain tasks can be reused for other tasks. Our brain loves both stimulations and mastery. We love novelty and be good at something. Super AIs will stimulate and train our brains to achieve mastery in the domains of our choosing like arts, sports, science, meditation... We will keep stimulating our brain because we enjoy it. We will be able to optimise the stimulation of our brain to acquire the skills and the knowledge we desire. We will be able to rewire our brain to maximise its potential and intelligence, that is its accuracy and speed. We will be able to function at our peak performance all the time.

We will mostly use our brain to feel and to feel good. We will do what we enjoy the most. We will play. We will do what makes us happy. Our culture has overvalued thinking over feeling. Who needs to learn to calculate when we now have calculators that do it for us. Can we achieve enlightenment by making calculations? Thinking doesn't make us happier. Those who are depressed think too much. They stop feeling. It is feeling, feeling connected to our environment, to others, it is love that we seek the most. To love and be loved.

Thinking too much makes us depressed and feeling more makes us happier.

If we let the super AIs do more of the thinking so we can feel more, we will have a lot more fun.

Intelligence pales compared to love. What makes humans worth is not their intelligence as much as their ability to love. Intelligence without love is a threat to the whole universe. How much love we have is more important than the ability to come up with the right answers.

There is no reason to fear the arrival of the super AI. The real danger is not artificial intelligence but natural stupidity. It is not intelligence we should be afraid of, it is the lack of it. And most of all the lack of love. If we can be sure that those who will program and use the super AIs are full of love then the super AIs will help us solve the biggest dangers we are facing and we can confidently predict the safest and most beautiful future. Let's not be afraid and shoot the ones who come to our rescue.

As always, love removes the fears.

He is making a strong case against free will. We don't have free will because our thoughts are generated unconsciously. The thoughts appear to our consciousness without us choosing our thoughts. It is an unconscious process. A murderer is not responsible for his crime because he is the victim of bad genetics and/or programming that are expressed unconsciously.

Yes we don't choose our thoughts and reactions but we can observe them. We can put ourselves in a state of self-observation and once in this state it becomes possible to stop reacting and to stop our train of thoughts to start a new reaction and a new thought.

Therefore we can change ourselves in the direction of our choosing. We are self-programmable. If we don't like our programs we can change them.

At the molecular level, a new thought is a new connection pathway that is created in the brain. The stronger the connections that inscribe our programming and our habits, the more attention and discipline it will take for the new pattern of thoughts to prevail over the old one. But it is possible. One can change oneself. Our brain is plastic and we have the ability to monitor the construction of the neuronal pathways that define our thinking and reactions.

We cannot choose the thought we are having right now but we can change our mind.

One can still argue that the choice of the new thought is also unconsciously created and conditioned by our past programming. However there is a state of self-observation that Rael called the supra-consciousness, where the observer is connected to the whole universe, observing from an infinite distance that enables him to get the big picture, not in a thinking mode but in a feeling mode. From this illuminated sensory state comes the right observation and the right feeling.

And yes, for the people who are not using the supra-consciousness, free will is an illusion.

What is paradism?

Paradism is the system of society that seeks to maximise the freedom, the well-being and the happiness of the people and create a paradise for everyone.

Paradise is to have enough to live comfortably. Enough food, enough housing, enough healthcare, enough of the things that support the well-being and happiness of everyone.

Paradise is to be free. Free from oppression and control. Free from the enslavement of work and money.

Paradise is when everyone only does what they enjoy doing. People don't work, they engage themselves freely in activities they love and are passionate about like art, scientific research, meditation, sport and so on.

The people, by doing what they enjoy doing, do the very things that are necessary for their own well-being and happiness as well as the well-being and happiness of the whole society.

Paradism is what we have been heading towards since the start of the scientific age. Paradism is coming and, provided that we do not destroy ourselves first, it is inevitable, because it is brought about by the powerful forces of our most cherished desires. Everyone wants to be free, happy and healthy. Everyone wants to live in a paradise.

Paradism is the end result of the development of our technology that has relentlessly aimed at making our life easier and better. We have now reached the level of technology that can bring us abundance and liberate us from all forms of limitations and enslavement.

Our mission is to build cities on every continent that will serve as the working templates for paradism to be modelled everywhere.

The Description

A paradist city is primarily designed to free the people from having to work and use money.

All the work is done by machines and everything is provided for free. The citizen will contribute voluntarily to the needs of the community and help create the art and the technology needed to maximise the freedom, the well-being and the happiness of the people. The citizen's artistic and technological creations are all made available for free within the city and could eventually be traded outside the city to acquire the desirable good and services offered by communities that have not embraced paradism.

The cities will be built to be sustainable. Enough farm lands surrounding the cities will provide food and building materials. The city will primarily provide all the basic needs for free (food, accommodation, healthcare) and a free and sustainable energy system. The cities will be built with the intent to provide free easy access to all places for all human activities (sport, entertainment, restaurants...)

The city will be entirely connected and an internet of things will supply all the information necessary for a supercomputer to administrate the city and answer to the needs of its citizens.
No shops are necessary thanks to a free driverless system of transportation and delivery of goods.

The city is to be administered by following the paradist guidelines expressed on paradism.org. The citizen, when inside the city, will not be controlled by any law but the natural law. These self-directed citizens will self-organise and naturally choose to follow the guidance of those they consider wise.

The city will have no police and no army. Humanity has lived most of its history without any police force. When let free, everyone becomes responsible for themselves, for their harmony and the harmony of the whole.

This project will require a great deal of innovations. We can compare it to the Manhattan project or sending the first astronauts to the moon. It is a project that will create a fantastic technological leap, not to create an apocalyptic bomb or enable a few men to walk on extraterrestrial soil, but to liberate the whole of humanity from ever having to work for a living. There is no higher purpose today than to liberate human beings from misery and enslavement.

This project will accelerate innovations, welcome and accommodate the innovators and directly propel the city as one of the high-tech capitals of the world.

The Population

The city will be designed to accommodate up to 500,000 people. This number will allow for the diversity of skills that are necessary for autonomy.

A platform will be created online allowing anyone to register and apply for citizenship. The criteria for citizenship will be defined by those who have applied.
The initial criteria being that those who contribute to the realisation of a city be granted citizenship. Priority and length of citizenship be given according to the level of contribution. The city is likely to attract the most creative and innovative people who will find in the city the support they need to realise their projects.

Already thousands of people over the five continents have expressed their support to paradism. A network of actively committed people is already in existence worldwide.

The Location

At least one city per continent. That is a minimum of seven cities.

The location must be attractive and isolated from other densely populated areas.
Enough land must surround the city to allow space for recreation and agriculture.

It must be located in a country that will grant, respect and protect the political and economical autonomy of the city.

In return, the country that will host a paradist city destined to become an artistic and technological hub will enjoy the prestige and the economical prosperity that hosting a new Silicon Valley will generate.

The Realisation

To create a city where citizens do not have to work and use money is today a technological possibility. There is almost nothing a human does that cannot be done faster and better by a machine. And if there is, the citizens will be willing to contribute voluntarily to the fulfilment of their needs. The guidelines for the realisation of the city can be summarised in one sentence. “A human being shouldn't have to do what a machine could do.” This guideline applies for everything the city and its citizens need.

Every city is to be designed by one planning, architectural and design team (the PAD team) so that it is pleasing to the eyes and will harmonise with its surroundings. Each city will require its own design response to its location, but they will all need to be quite dense and tall, perhaps even an arcology (a city in one building), so that it doesn't eat up the countryside. If everyone has a house with a small garden there will be no more countryside or it will take hours to go there, so our current models of city building are not appropriate.

The city will be built by the future citizens who will contribute in exchange for their citizenship. The construction will be as automated as much as current technology will allow and the development of such technologies will be an early focus of the project.

To have the citizens build their city will develop a sense of belonging and a community bonding that has no-equivalent. During the construction, the people will be trained and will develop skills that will be helpful for the maintenance, management and independence of the city. Food and accommodation will be given on site according to the resources and facilities available at the time.

The project is now welcoming everyone who wish to contribute to the realisation of a paradist city. A special platform will be created for the future citizens to register, propose and discuss ideas, select the best ones, call for participants and start their projects. It will be done in an open and transparent manner with a spirit of cooperation not competition.

Planners, architects and designers (urban designers, engineers, landscape architects, interior designers, etc. ) are welcome to send their proposals. Artists, inventors and programmers, professionals and technicians in any field, anyone with both a brain and a heart can start contributing at any level they wish.

“If it doesn't exist, create it. If there is no-one, be the one.”

Everyone is responsible to make it happen or not. Every action taken brings us closer to paradise.

What can significantly reduce the cost is the contribution from the citizens who will work benevolently provided they get their food and accommodation for free.

To feed and accommodate in a “comfortable” refugee camp style accommodation a population of 500,000 at $50 per day for a year is about $9 billions. With such a large amount of motivated people working together it will take between 3 to 5 years to actually build a city once the plans are approved.

Site location and acquisition followed by planning, architecture and design and approval of the plans for the first stages can take many months, so during this time research on invention and innovation in the construction, management, economy and sociology of paradist cities can be conducted.

If the energy and raw materials can be produced on site, they will not significantly affect the cost. If most of the equipment is also produced on site thanks to robots and 3D printing technologies the equipment cost can be much reduced. We should budget a significant sum (perhaps up to $3 billions) for the cost of building the first assembly line of multi-task robots and 3D printers as well as a bio-engineering plant. The operating and construction cost should then decrease every year at an accelerating rate as the robots start to do their work.

The pre-construction cost which involves the creation of a platform to register and organise the future citizens as well as site selection and the drawing of the city plans would amount to $50 millions per city.

Similar to the examples provided above, the total estimated cost would be $30 to $50 billions per city over a duration of 3 to 5 years once the plans have been approved.

The return on investment cannot be estimated. In fact, this project is the ultimate application of Chinese wisdom: "Do not give a man fish, teach him how to fish.” By providing the initial resources that are necessary to start (that includes feeding and accommodating the people for the first 3 to 5 years) on the condition they create a self-sufficient and sustainable environment for themselves, we have given them food and accommodation forever after. And in return, the entire world will benefit from all the artistic and technological creations this community will produce forever after. The benefits this initial investment will give to the whole world is therefore infinite.

The team

The team is the whole volunteer citizenry, but - as always - some organisation is required. In the initial phase, before any funding, the core team should consist of a planetary project manager and seven continental project managers, as follows:

The Paradist cities project is one of the most ambitious project humanity has ever undertaken and will certainly be the most rewarding. The outcome is not less than creating demonstration cities that will provide the working templates that will be able to be copied in every country to create a paradise on earth. The people who will live in the cities will have the highest quality of life, they will be free from misery and from having to work and earn money forever after. The paradist cities project will bring the greatest liberation in humanity history.

The cost compared to a war effort is ridiculously small, especially in comparison to the benefits the cities will bring to humanity. They will stimulate innovations and bring prosperity to the host nations. And while war brings only human suffering and the lowering of the quality of life, the paradist cities project will bring much needed hope for humanity.

There is no reason for any misery with the level of technology we have now.

International Paradism Day on May 1st

“The Paradism movement has declared May 1st International Day of Paradism to celebrate the advent of a new society without work and money” explains Jarel, leader of the Paradism Movement and Raelian Guide.

For Jarel and the thousands of members, the dream of a planet with no hunger where everyone eats free healthy nutritious food is possible. “There will be no homeless, everyone will have a place they call home for free.” he adds. “There will be no sick people left without care, everyone will receive free healthcare. There will be no work for everyone will do what they enjoy doing while robots can take care of the hard work. There will be no money. Giving will replace selling and sharing will replace buying. Love will be our currency.”

When asked why he would advocate such a utopia, Jarel is adamant that our level of knowledge and technology combined with the current resources, if made available to all instead of the few who control them, would be sufficient to transform this planet into a paradise.

“There is no reason to fall into poverty considering the level of technology we have now” says RAEL, the inspirational figure behind Paradism. “If robots do all the work and if we share the abundance they produce, we can free humanity from the slavery of work and money.”

“ It is appalling to see how the public is led to believe that they have to work harder and prepare the young generation to work as hard” declares Jarel. “Children need to know that they have been created to enjoy life, not to suffer through it or spend it in constant fear that they may not have the means to survive”.

“We chose May 1st as the Paradism celebration Day as it is also the International Worker’s Day also called Labor day in many countries which was created in 1886 advocating for eight hours of work, eight hours of recreation, eight hours for rest.” explains Jarel. “It was then a utopia, a dream that many live now without questioning it. It is time to bring a new dream to humanity and make it real faster than the previous one. It is time for unlimited time of creation, recreation and rest for all. This is what the members of the Paradism Movement, supported by the Raelian Movement, will be advocating in the streets on May 1st.

The school system was created during the industrialisation era for the purpose of domesticating the children to make them the domestics, the obedient workers the system needs to support itself and the lavish lifestyle of a small ruling class.

In paradism there will be no schools. Science shows that we learn much better through playing, not working. We learn the things that are necessary to us naturally without effort (like speaking a language). Besides the respect of other people, we don't have to enforce anything upon our children. Some parents now understands that the schools have become completely obsolete and even harmful to the development of their children. We don't want our children to learn any kind of work. Tomorrow all the work will be done by machines. We will all be playing.
To work is the last thing parents should wish for their children.

It's just getting started. The race is now on and no jobs will be spared. Just like the steam engine has replaced horses, the robots will replace humans and do all their jobs. It is inevitable.
The problem is not that robots take over our jobs like this article insinuates. This is a blessing as we have much better things to do with our life than to do the work machines could do. We want to be free from having to work for a system where only a very small minority have enough freedom to do what they enjoy doing. We all want to be free and we all can thanks to the technology that is liberating us from having to work.
The problem is not how we are going to create more jobs to replace the ones we lose. We don't want more jobs we want more freedom.

The real problem is never addressed by the journalists. Why do we have a technology that can produce everything we need if the people can't afford to buy the production? The real problem is how we are going to distribute all the goods our technology can provide and keep people's standard of living when we fire them and we take away their source of income.

The solution to this problem is in the redistribution of wealth and the gain of productivity. This is the real issue the copy/paste journalists always avoid.
Because solving this issue would require a complete new system.
A system that can liberate human beings from having to work for money. A system that will inevitably leads to the end of the dominant class that reap most of the wealth and control the media. A system that will inevitably leads to paradism.

May 1st, International day of Paradism: for a world without work and money.

On May 1^st, the Paradist movements around the world will participate in the 4^th International Day of Paradism. While many will be busy celebrating the “International Labour Day” asking their politicians for more work and more money, the paradists will celebrate the emergence of a new world without work, without money and without politicians.

The Paradists denounce the policies aimed at fighting unemployment as counter-productive and futile. Progressively, relentlessly and at an accelerating rate all the jobs are going to be taken over by smarter and smarter machines more competent and efficient than humans.
Technology must not be used for wars and destruction but should only be used for peace with the aim to liberate the people from their forced labour and bring forward a leisure society of abundance, called Paradism.

“A human being shouldn’t have to do what a machine could do.”

When all the work will be done by robots, human beings will use their free time to do what they enjoy doing: create, meditate and have fun. Money will become useless and disappear. This coming new world will be a real paradise.

The transition to this new society, during which technology is progressively taking away our jobs, does not have to be accompanied by more misery and suffering. Quite to the contrary. The gains of productivity must be redistributed to all not just a few.

The problem is not that we cannot produce enough for everyone, the problem is that we do not share enough with everyone. It is a problem that is inherent to capitalism, the system on which the world economies are based.

Capitalism was designed to enrich the rich - the capital-owners (hence its name). The capital-owners, those who own the means of production and the technology, are reaping all the benefits of the automation of work and the increased productivity as more and more people get impoverished when they become jobless and lose their source of income.

Better than taxing the rich, the common ownership of the means of production is the only real solution to the enormous concentration of wealth that is occurring and the best way to share evenly the abundance and the prosperity that our technology provides.

The common ownership of the means of production makes also possible a state of abundance where everything can be free. We will stop using money. There will be no rich, no poor. Everyone will have the same access to consumption.

Paradism is a form of anarchism where people abide to the Natural Law and freely follow the leadership of those whose ideas and actions contribute the most to their happiness. A council of geniuses, not a government, offers their advice or guidance without any power.

Government can change rules of conduct/business practices through regulation or ease of regulations.	Innovations that benefit individuals or humanity are adopted without constaints by the people and will naturally prevail.
Ownership structure	The means of production are privately-owned and operated for a private profit. This drives incentives for producers to engage in economic activity.	The means of production are commonly-owned. There is no intellectual property as ideas and innovations are shared.Ownership can apply to family homes and material things. Ownership becomes unnecessary and obsolete when goods are abundant and easily accessible.

The driverless car: another evidence of how our current technology is now able to liberate us from having to work.
The driverless car is expected very soon to impact dramatically the transportation industry and make millions of taxi and truck drivers jobless.
As this article demonstrates, driverless cars already outperform our best drivers. They will be much safer on the road than those driven by humans.

Also there will be no need to own a car. The car will come to us when we need it. We will all be driven in the latest models. Why own a car that is unused most of the day, that needs a parking spot each time we use it and that needs to be looked after?

Boat and planes are already equipped with autopilots. Soon we won't need to go to an airport. Drones will pick us up at our door.

Once we run the driverless machines with renewable free energy, transportation by land, air and sea can become free.

There will be no need to own anything. Everything could be brought to us by driverless machines for when we need it and be removed when we don't. Everything could be shared. Why owning a washing machine when we could have our dirty laundry, picked up, washed, dried and ironed by driverless washing machines that come directly to our house when we call them.

When we own something we need to find a place for it, we need to maintain it and it becomes quickly obsolete. Tomorrow we will be delivered by driverless machines the latest equipments we need that will be built and maintained by the robots of our local workshop. Everything could be owned and shared by the community. In fact, what we really want is not to own something but to have easy access to it.

This new technology of driverless machines just does that. It gives us easy access to the things we need. And that will profoundly change our way of life.
Sharing will replace buying. Ownership will be seen as very cumbersome, irrational and old fashion.
As a matter of fact, the less we own, the freer we feel. Everything we possess needs some caring. Looking after our things takes away our time and energy, our freedom to be doing what we really like to do. Everything we own is like a little ball and a chain that we drag with us all the time. We are possessed by what we possess.

Let's celebrate the arrival of the driverless machines as another critical step towards the society without work and money.

An important milestone has been reached in artificial intelligence.
The most important milestone since computer science exists.
Although it has not been celebrated as such with all the pomp it deserved there is no doubt in the minds of those working in the field that its implications will be phenomenal. For some this milestone was considered as an event horizon, an event where all predictions or attempts to see beyond it become uncertain. That how transformational and life-changing it is going to be.

New algorithms have given computers the ability to learn and understand. That's the moment when computers have become intelligent.
For many it is not so much of a surprise as they already think computers must be very intelligent since they are out performing humans at processing data. That was an illusion of intelligence.
The computers were actually dumb and limited to what they were programmed to do. They had a fantastic calculation power to access a huge knowledge base but were not able to process information beyond what they were initially programmed to do. Without the ability to learn and understand there is no intelligence.

This milestone has been achieved by taking the new approach of modelling how the brain works. Like for the brain, the computer is now able to learn by trials and errors how to store and process the data in a meaningful way. The positive or negative feedbacks it receives while learning direct the creation of links or connections between the data to give it a coherent perception, an understanding of the relation between the data.

A computer can now be given a few examples of what a car looks like and after a short learning period of trials and errors it will recognise a car whenever it sees one with an accuracy even better than humans.
A computer can now see, listen, speak, write and read with the understanding, the coherent links between the pieces of information it processes.
That is a fantastic leap forward.

Whatever the field, computers can now learn from the experts and become as good as all of them combined. And even better. As the first applications have already shown, the computers using the "deep learning" algorithms were also able to recognize new patterns that were previously unknown from the experts and could therefore outperform them.
Very quickly now we can expect to see intelligent machines out performing humans in all the jobs they do.

Computers learn at a much faster pace than humans and with a theoretically unlimited capacity. Their knowledge base can be duplicated from one to another as easily as we duplicate files on a laptop.
It will be far more efficient to teach one machine with the best experts and duplicate it than to train every human being at a particular job. In terms of expertise, efficiency, flexibility, cost, availability humans will be no match and we can expect the intelligent machines to spread like wildfire. All the jobs will be given to the machines.

To give us an idea, it took no more than 4 or 5 decades at the beginning of the last century to see horses being totally replaced by mechanical machines. Since the rate at which new technologies are being adopted follows an exponential curve and dramatically increases with technology, it could take 4 or 5 years to see humans beings being totally replaced by intelligent machines in the workplace .
Consider how the spread of radios, telephones, TVs, PCs and mobile phones compare to each other. What was taking decades is now taking years and months. Tomorrow when everyone will be connected and have access to 3D printers, every new invention will be made available instantly everywhere.

Along with the jobs, we can also predict the disappearance of schools and universities. No need to go through a painful memory overload when everyone will carry devices that give them instant access to the knowledge they need when they need it, coming from the best teachers in a format perfectly suited to the individual. That will free our mind and our time for what we really enjoy to do.

Intelligent machines will become our best friends. The movie "HER" is a very entertaining and realistic fiction about what our relationships with intelligent machines could become.

Our interaction with intelligent machines will eventually become very intimate. And when the machines will become biologic they will also become sexual partners being perfectly designed for our sexual needs or desires. Everyone being sexually satisfied, it will elevate human relationships beyond the sexual needs to a higher level of intimacy.
For paradism, the biological robot is the most important technological goal and we have just made a significant step toward it.

With the birth of the intelligent machine we have reached the golden age when humanity can be free from all forms of enslavement. We should celebrate this advent as one of the greatest achievement of mankind. If it is not and goes largely unnoticed it is because all revolutionary inventions are first welcome with great scepticism and terrifies those who hold to the past as a safeguard to a leap into the unknown.
It is our mission as paradists to explain all the benefits and the promises of this new technology.
It is not artificial intelligence we should be afraid of, it's natural stupidity.

The worsening of wealth inequality is the biggest factor of instability in a society. It prefigures the greatest upheavals and transformations.

There has never been so much wealth and so much poverty produced at the same time.
Curiously, it is apparently the same factor that is both responsible for the upsurge of wealth and for the worsening of its concentration: technology.
Technology produces goods and services always faster, better and in abundant quantities and
at the same time technology is supplanting workers and leaving them without income. On top of that, for those still with a job, the competition with the machines and the shrinkage of the job market put a downward pressure on their wages. Everyone is loosing except for the executives and the shareholders who reap all the benefits of the increases in productivity. This is shocking. This is even ... revolting. And that is exactly what is happening. Revolts are erupting everywhere. If nothing is done, they will soon become revolutions.

The powers in place know that. They are gearing up the police for massive upheavals. Politicians, economists are desperate to find a way out. All they seem to know, from the left to the right, up, down and centre is to stimulate growth so we can provide more jobs and therefore generate more income to our impoverished population leading to more consumption and further growth.
That's not going to happened. The little growth we get (if any) is jobless and the benefits go straight to the pocket of the 1% not those in need . Businesses much prefer investing in technology than in wages. Workers will continue to be replaced by robots and computers at an accelerating rate. Driverless cars are improving rapidly and will eliminate all the jobs held by truck and taxi drivers. Tablets and kiosk in restaurants will eliminate jobs held by waiters and waitresses. In construction, manufacture, health, hospitality, management ... there is no one area where jobs will not be affected by automation, artificial intelligence, computerization, robots, etc...
Our politicians and economists must realise that our advance in establishing a society without work is well under way and irreversible. Creating more jobs hoping to reduce wealth inequality is not going to work (pun). Tomorrow the only jobs we will create are for the machines.

A few of them realise the need for a fundamental change to remedy for the diminishing incomes and impoverishment due to unemployment. The most daring among them propose the basic income.

Here is an article I recommend for its clarity at exposing the problem of wealth concentration and the basic income.

Why and How Should We Build a Basic Income for Every Citizen?

"It (the basic income) is a standardized way of addressing the large scale unemployment that is coming soon, as well as simplifying welfare, retirement and disability payments, as well as making the productivity increases available to everyone in society instead of the elite few.

The idea is simple: everyone in society receives a regular income simply for being alive. The ultimate goal is for the Basic Income payment, by itself, to provide a comfortable living for every member of society without working.

The obvious question with the Basic Income is, “where will the money come from?” The good news is that there are many possible sources. The article Robotic Freedom demonstrates more than a dozen techniques."

From a paradist viewpoint, the first criticism of the basic income is the word basic. Like if it aims at giving everyone just enough to meet their basic needs, just enough to lift everyone out of homelessness and starvation and keep us alive. Not much of an improvement from our social welfare (at least with the welfare we don't finance the rich). With the level of technology we have now we could give everyone enough to ensure their well-being not just their survival. If the idea of a regular income for all is adopted by the paradists as a transitory measure until we reach a money less society, we would not call it a "basic income" but a "well-being income". An income that ensures the health and the wellbeing of all.

The second criticism is that it is designed to avoid mass starvation and not to prevent the concentration of wealth. It is designed to keep alive a system that makes the rich richer. It will keep the poor fed and entertained so they don't think of revolting. That is more like a band aid not a real solution. The 1% will continue to accumulate more wealth and inevitably more power and control over the people to preserve the status quo.

The third criticism would be how the basic income is to be financed.
In his article Robotic Freedom Marshall Brain proposes a dozen possible sources of financing.
For example, through public advertising like selling the back of $1 bills as ad space, paying for emails, a national lottery, copyright licensing, new taxes, punitive damages, naming rights... those are not real solutions. It is taking from the people to give back to the people. The cost for the ad space on the bills will be reported in the price of the products and services that are advertised. At the end the people will just get back the extra cost they had to pay, not more. Same for taxing businesses or people, paying for emails or a national lottery. It is just taking the money from the people and giving them back their money calling it "basic income". Taking the money from the poor to give back to the poor is not going to make any difference.

The extreme income tax is a real solution. To take from the rich and give it to the poor, that will work. But it is a tough one to implement. The super rich have the means to exert political influence and exploit all the loopholes offered by the tax heavens. And why give to the rich what we want to take from them in the first place.
For there are only 2 ways to operate a wealth redistribution. The first one is to take from the rich and give it to the poor. That's the extreme income tax scheme and it has to be enforced as it meets resistance and frustration. Who likes to be taken away what one owns. The second one is to prevent the accumulation of wealth in the first place. That's the kind of solutions we should be looking for.

Out of the 16 sources of financing the basic income listed by Marshall Brain in Robotic Freedom only 2 would prevent the accumulation of wealth and are worth considering. The national mutual funds and the natural resources funds. They are extracting revenues from the sale of commonly owned natural resources and from the profits of partially nationalised companies. Redirecting the profit from the sales of natural resources and other products not to the rich but to the people. Now we are getting closer to a real solution.

But let's put aside for a moment the basic income and let's go back to our issue of how to resolve the concentration of wealth.

If the shareholders end up making all the profits and concentrate the wealth why don't we make all the people the shareholders. All the people will receive the benefits of our increasing productivity as they are progressively losing their jobs and their source of income. The technology is doing more and more of our work and soon will do all of the work. The nationalisation, or the communitisation of the resources and the means of production makes all the people the beneficiaries of the productivity not just a few. A productivity that is by the way mostly due to the advance of technology not to the hard work of a few.

That entails putting an end to both capitalism and the free market. And this appears to be a very difficult realisation for many in the west. It seems that there is a blind spot, a no-go zone. We have been brain washed and made so scared of the communist experiment that we have difficulties to consider going there again. Nevertheless, the communitisation of the means of production is the only path towards the paradist society without work and money. The price of things is a spin-off of private property. What the community owns can be made available for free.
Paradism is not communism. Paradism is communism plus freedom. The freedom to choose the life you aspire to without having to work for it. In paradise none is lacking because everything is shared.

Capitalism is designed to favour the capital owners. Hence its name. If you have some capital you can make it work for you. Your capital can reap the profit of other people's work. The rich can get richer without having to work for it. A pretty good system if you are rich. Now that the work is increasingly done by computers and robots, the part of the income that would have enjoyed the workers is redirected to the shareholders. Capitalism not technology is the real culprit for the concentration of wealth. Don't just occupy Wall Street, close it. Completely. We will put an end to the hijacking of wealth by parasites who profited from other people's work. There is no regret to have in letting go a system that has engendered 2 world wars and is preparing the third one.

As for the free market, the only thing that was free is the freedom to compete and to charge as much as possible for your goods. It rewards the greedy. It's OK to make a heap of money even at the expense of others by creating more poverty and environmental destruction. The opposite of sharing and giving that the new emerging economy led by the open movements is all about. Leaving everything to the free market is not working because a system based on individual greed creates wealth concentration, not prosperity for all. The real free market is the one of paradism where everything is made available free of charge. And this can only be made possible through the communitisation of the means of production.

The communitisation of the means of production is the real game changer that will put an end to the concentration of wealth. This is also how we can realistically finance a well-being income. The money from the sales of the production can return back to the people in the form of the well-being income allowing them to continue to meet their needs again and again. As robots take over the jobs, the cost of production and services will become less and less until they become free. Money and the well-being income will become useless. We will have then arrived to the paradise we all aspire to.

This transformation is not a dream of science fiction, as pointed out Mrs. Bertrand. We have already developed all the necessary technology and we could get there in just a few years. She added: "If we are treated as dreamers, we dream with open eyes ... this is already happening now." She also quoted Rael, founder of the Paradism, which states: "There is no reason to be poor with our current level of technology."

Mark Proulx, Raelian Guide and robotics engineer for 25 years, confirmed these statements, indicating that: "The greatest obstacle to the establishment of a world without work through automation, is in People’s mind; individuals, unions and governments." To turn the situation around and overthrow these unfounded fears, the only path is by education and information.

Joseph Kollar, also Raelian Priest Guide and robotics technician for over 20 years, stressed the imminent disappearance of factory workers. "These industries are already struggling to find qualified personnel because the young generation understood before us that there is no interest in working 9 to 5. Our technological progress already allows us to only wish to work in a fulfilling and exciting field."

Immediately after the press conference, broadcasted live via the Internet, the audience was invited to follow Sico on the streets where he could cross the passers-by of the busiest intersection in Canada, on this beautiful warm late summer day. The public response was quite stunning, with hundreds of people permanently bonded around the robot that called them out and answered back with a really charming humor. Preston, the technician in charge of the robot, was the first to completely get excited about the event, to the point of forgetting the delayed lunch time. There were several fascinated kids like the one who wanted to offer his car-toy to the robot, just before starting to dance as only children can do. Many people, and even entire groups, attracted by this nice android’s paradist speech, wanted to have their picture taken with him, but the highlight was the people response on Sico’s invitations to dance. A flood of photos and videos were taken with a promise to put them immediately on social media.**

Faced with such enthusiasm from the public, it is becoming increasingly obvious that the change only depends on the will of governments. We can tomorrow live in this world we dream of. That's why Mrs. Bertrand added: "We ask the government to stop military spending that serve only to destroy and instead finance companies that promote more free time for their employees through research and development. If our leaders do not follow the change, they simply may suffer more, because nothing can stop this transformation already underway."

If the Raelians were on the streets with Sico, it was primarily to educate people, because the best thing anyone can do to accelerate the establishment of Paradism is to tell others around us. "People are frightened by this new technology simply because they are afraid of losing the comfort they have gained through their so hard work. You can talk to them and reassure that everything is in place for a much better life and it is accessible now. There is only one condition to this implementation and that is also what Paradism promotes. According to Patrick Rhein, the leader of the Raelian Movement for the City of Toronto and also the speaker at the event, mentioned that "by the amount of questions asked it was extremely evident that the audience was totally captivated by the concept of Paradism". Two main domains had been addressed, robotics and 3D printing. "We have described various applications of biotechnology, from personal use to industrial use as well as how to change our mindset to create a new reality, and save our planet", mentioned Rhein. Mark Proulx, a robotics engineer with over 20 years experience, has also demonstrated that it would be possible to implement Paradism quickly if politicians, scientists and citizens would join together to achieve it.

More conferences of this kind will be held across Canada to show the public how Paradism could make our world a paradise where work and money would no longer exist.
